2023 Curragh Wednesday Tip – Hybrid To Motor Home
2023 Curragh Wednesday Tip
We landed another very nice winner on Saturday. Navello kept on brilliantly to get up late in the Dash at 25/1. We were out of luck with the rest of our bets but to finish Epsom with three winners was more than acceptable. We have just one bet for this evening, check out Dave Stevos’ 2023 Curragh Wednesday Tip below.
7.00 – Race To The Ebor Handicap (Premier)
Tonight at the Curragh we have two Premier Handicaps. One, a 3yo sprint, has attracted just nine runners and nothing leaps out off the page in that. Maybe Cash or Crypto can outrun his odds off 79 but he’s probably the correct price at around 12/1. Ten will run in the Staying Handicap at 7.00 and the one that looks overpriced at around 18/1 is Sheishybrid for Noel Meade and Adam Caffrey.
This 5yo mare was fit from a couple of runs on unsuitably soft ground over hurdles when she pitched up in a handicap here last month. She endured an absolute nightmare passage in the home straight, getting badly hampered just as she was making ground up the inside. That cost her all chance and she ended up 7.75L behind the winner Dame Rapide.
That run came off 85 and she is in off the same mark today. On her last flat run of 2022 she was beat 2.75L off that rating under Colin Keane at Dundalk so with Caffrey’s 7lbs claim she should be more than capable of getting involved. She shaped well over C&D off 78 in May 22 and she is effectively racing off the same rating today. Noel Meade’s last two runners won (including one for Caffrey) and hopefully this mare will be finishing off stronger than most of her rivals at odds of 18/1.
