We have the luxury of my ratings for 30 matches and we don’t have to bet on all on them. I only “pick” selections where there is a big difference between my ratings and the Vegas line.

The Vegas oddsmakers may know a little bit more than me about the match but I know my ratings are reasonably solid and we will have an advantage if we bet the ones with the biggest differences.

Jan’s Best Bets

UTEP Miners +27.5 @ Nebraska – I have this line at +17 this is a big difference and I’m happy with this selection.

Ohio Bobcats +18.5 @ Syracuse – I had this line much closer at -4 Syracuse. Again a good enough margin to make the Bobcats a selection.

Troy Trojans -8.5 vs Nevada – Nevada played well last week going down 29-24 vs SMU and I’ve raised their rating by 4 points. I still make the Troy Trojans 20 point favourites making them another confident selection.

Notre Dame +3 @ Texas A&M – This is one of the bigger games of the weekend, my numbers come out good for Notre Dame and give them a 7 point advantage for this match up.

James Madison -8 @ Charlotte – My line is JM by 16 so again, this makes them a reasonable selection.
