2024 Dutch Darts Championship R1 Preview
James Punt absolutely cleaned up at the last Euro Tour event. He is back in action this weekend and he has a very confident pick for the 2024 Dutch Darts Championship R1. Check out his preview and FREE tips below.
Round 1 Bet
I am posting this early as it is a great bet and the price is falling by the minute. Hopefully I will have a few more bets for the afternoon session ready before play tomorrow, but any late withdrawals might scupper that. There will be coverage of the evening session.
Dom Taylor vs. Jose de Sousa
Two players in very different form. Taylor has won nine of his last ten matches, De Sousa has lost nine of his last ten.
The Special One is gone. His confidence is rock bottom and he just cannot win a match. His collapse against Bialecki in the Baltic Sea Darts Open two weeks ago was a case in point. Bialecki was beaten but De Sousa let him back in the game and ended up losing it 5-6, averaging 84.
Dom Taylor only got his tour card in January but he has made a bit of name for himself as a good player and heavy scorer. His seasonal average is 93.33. He has recent wins over players such as Ritchie Edhouse and Chris Dobey, so an out of form De Sousa should not be a problem.
Taylor has only played in one Euro Tour event and he beat a local qualifier 6-0 and averaged 100.

Madars Razma vs. Jeffrey de Graaf
A clash between two of the big form players entering at the first round stage. Madars Razma was a surprise semi-finalist in the Baltic Sea Darts Open two weeks ago. He took some big scalps to get there and he will be feeling good.
Jeffery de Graaf was runner up in PC10 a couple of weeks ago and followed that up by winning six Euro Tour qualifier matches. He has won twelve of his last thirteen matches.
Neither are normally big scorers, but both can be very effective. With both in good form, we should get a good match and I’ll go for a long game.
