2024 European Darts GP Saturday Preview
Now, it is time for James Punt’s 2024 European Darts GP Saturday afternoon preview. He landed two winners from two bets last night, fingers crossed for more of the same.
Dirk van Duijvenbode vs. Ritchie Edhouse
Why is Edhouse the odds against outsider here? Because he is not fashionable. Dirk is the well known player, the guy who hits all the 180s etc.
The problem is that Dirk is playing poorly, he has won five of his last ten matches but his scoring in recent matches has been weak and he has lost five of his last seven matches.
It is Edhouse who is playing well, very well. Madhouse has won nine of his last ten matches and hit five ton plus averages. He is hitting a lot more 180s than Dirk has been and Edhouse should be odds on favourite. He is full of confidence and in the form of his life.

Chris Dobey vs. Jonny Clayton
Like Edhouse, Dobey is in top form. He has won fifteen of his last seventeen matches and is scoring heavily. He does still have a stinker every now and then, as he did in the semi-final last weekend, but he was back at it yesterday, beating Ian White 6-1 and averaging 97.
Clayton used to have Dobey in his pocket, but The Ferret has lost his form for the last nine months or so, and Dobey won their last match in last year’s Grand Slam.
