2024 NFL Regular Season GW3 Preview & Picks – JK
2024 NFL Regular Season GW3
An Aaron Rodgers masterclass cost us our spread bet on the Patriots on TNF. Jan Keys’ record this season now stands at 7-4. Check out Jan’s 2024 NFL Regular Season GW3 preview and picks below.
NEW YORK GIANTS (0-2) @ CLEVELAND (1-1)
Vegas Lines: Cleveland -6.5; Total Points 39
My Line: Cleveland -11; Total Points 41.8
Big difference of opinion here so my first selection will be Cleveland -6.5. They bounced back from their opening day defeat to take down the Jaguars and the Giants will be demoralised after another defeat against the Commanders.
2024 NFL Regular Season GW3 Tip: Cleveland -6.5 @ 1.92
GREEN BAY (1-1) @ TENNESSEE (0-2)
Line: Tennessee -3.5; Total Points 38.5
My Line: Green Bay -5.5; Total Points 44.1
Again, a big difference here, the odds seem to be based on the GB star QB Jordan Love not playing. Love didn’t play last week and the Packers still won and proved they’re not a one man team. The Titans went 0-2 after a 7 point loss against the Jets and they could be in for another tough day here.
2024 NFL Regular Season GW3 Tip: Green Bay +2 @ 2.20
CHICAGO (1-1) @ INDIANAPOLIS (0-2)
Line: Indianapolis -1.5; Total Points 43.5
My Line: Indianapolis -1; Total Points 44.2
Both teams are struggling a bit and need to improve. Agree with the line and I will leave this game alone. No bet
NO BET
HOUSTON (2-0) @ MINNESOTA (2-0)
Line: Houston -2.5; Total Points 46
My Line: Level Game; Total Points 42.9
This should be a good game between two teams in decent form. The Texans and CJ Stroud beat the Bears in Week 2 and the Vikings pulled off a bit of surprise win against the 49ers. Too close too call. No bet.
NO BET
PHILADELPHIA (1-1) @ NEW ORLEANS (2-0)
Line: New Orleans -2.5; Total Points 49.5
My Line: New Orleans -1; Total Points 49.9
Philadelphia have had 2 close matches so far this season whereas New Orleans have won both games by big margins. Their first match against Carolina was understandable but smashing Dallas was impressive. Looks like a high scoring and entertaining match but not an appealing betting heat.
NO BET
LA CHARGERS (2-0) @ PITTSBURGH (2-0)
Line: Pittsburgh -1; Total Points 36
My Line: Pittsburgh -2.5; Total Points 38.1
This should be a close call. Both teams have made perfect starts and someone’s 0 is going to go. Another match that I won’t be getting involved in. No bet.
NO BET
DENVER (0-2) @ TAMPA BAY (2-0)
Line: Tampa Bay -6.5; Total Points 40.5
My Line: Tampa Bay -9.5; Total Points 40.6
I was tempted to pick Tampa Bay but I’m thinking the Broncos will try to play the clock and stifle the Buccaneers. Tampa beat the Lions last week and they will be eyeing up a trip to the playoffs. However, this is another no bet match for me.
No Bet
CAROLINA (0-2) @ LAS VEGAS (1-1)
Line: Las Vegas -5.5; Total Points 40
My Line: Las Vegas -12; Total Points 40.8
This is a line that makes no sense. Although Las Vegas aren’t a brilliant team, they did beat Baltimore last week which was a quite impressive result. As for Carolina, they have only scored 13 points all season and are the worst team in the NFL at the moment by a long way. Back Las Vegas -5.5 points.
2024 NFL Regular Season GW3 Tip: LAS VEGAS -5.5 @ 1.95
MIAMI (1-1) @ SEATTLE (2-0)
Line: Seattle -4.5; Total Points 41
My Line: Seattle -2; Total Points 46.5
Although Seattle are 2-0, they have had a fairly soft first two games (Denver, New England), so I wouldn’t get too excited by their start. Miami will be very disappointed in their performance last week and will need to improve. If I was to play, I would take the Dolphins with a +4.5 start but there’s more solid bets elsewhere this weekend. No bet.
NO BET
BALTIMORE (0-2) @ DALLAS (1-1)
Line: Baltimore -1; Total Points 47.5
My Line: Dallas -1.5; Total Points 48.9
Both these heavyweights misfired last week. They both know how big a game this will be now, especially the Ravens who desperately need to get a win on the board. However, it is hard to pick a winner after last week’s poor performances and it makes sense to steer clear of this one.
NO BET
SAN FRANCISCO (1-1) @ L.A. RAMS (0-2)
Line: San Francisco -6.5; Total Points 43.5
My Line: San Francisco -3; Total Points 48.4
Both teams were expected to be in the end of season Conference shake up, but both are under par at the moment. This Divisional match up should be close and although I’m not supremely confident, a team that is usually strong at home with a +6.5 start does seem to offer a bit of value.
2024 NFL Regular Season GW3 Tip: L.A. RAMS +6.5 @ 2.00
DETROIT (1-1) @ ARIZONA (1-1)
Line: Detroit -2.5; Total Points 52
My Line: Level Game; Total Points 49.9
This looks like a very interesting matchup. Big things were expected of the Detroit Lions this season and kicking off with 2 home matches, they were expected to have 2 wins under their belt but they lost last weekend. Both teams have played at home to the LA Rams, Detroit winning 26-20 in Week 1 and the Cardinals winning 41-10 in Week 2. Make what you like out of that. Total Points at 52 might be a tad high but I am happy to swerve this one.
NO BET
KANSAS CITY (2-0) @ ATLANTA (1-1)
Line: Kansas City -3; Total Points 46.5
My Line: Kansas City -2.5; Total Points 42.5
The Superbowl Champions know how to scrap to win games. They won 26-25 at home to the Bengals last week and Atlanta also won, beating the Eagles in a close Monday Night match 22-21. The line looks right and I usually favour under points in all KC matches but this is too marginal. No bet.
NO BET
JACKSONVILLE (0-2) @ BUFFALO (2-0)
Line: Buffalo -5.5; Total Points 45.5
My Line: Buffalo -8.5; Total Points 44.8
Logic says this should be a straightforward win for the Buffalo Bills and we should take the minus 5.5 and we should win. We even have a solid formline – Jacksonville lost to Miami 20-17 in Week One, whereas the Bills won in Miami 31-10. However, I’m going to defy logic and not have a selection.
NO BET
WASHINGTON (1-1) @ CINCINNATI (0-2)
Line: Cincinnati -8; Total Points 47.5
My Line: Cincinnati -11; Total Points 46.6
Cincinnati are big favourites for this match, mainly based on their performance at Kansas City, even though the week before they lost at home to New England. Washington aren’t a good side and I do expect them to lose this match but I can’t trust the Bengals enough to win by a healthy margin so it is a no bet.
