2024 NFL Week 16 TNF Preview & Picks – JK
2024 NFL Week 16 TNF Preview
It was another even steven night for Jan Keys on Monday and he is level devils for the NFL season with an overall record of 56-56. On Thursday night the Broncos take on the Chargers in an important divisional showdown, check out Jan’s 2024 NFL Week 16 TNF picks below.
Denver Broncos (9-5) @ Los Angeles Chargers (8-6)
Vegas Lines: Los Angeles Chargers -2.5; Total Points: 41.5
Jan Keys’ Ratings: Los Angeles Chargers -2.6; Total Points: 45.6
Last week’s Results
Los Angeles Chargers 17 – Tampa Bay 40; Denver Broncos 31 – Indianapolis Colts 13.
Offensive And Defensive Averages
Chargers: Average Total Yards (Off/Def) 302-337; Passing 196-212; Rushing 106-125.
Broncos: Average Total Yards 311-315; Passing 203-217; Rushing 108-98.
Projected Totals: Los Angeles 309 – Pass 232, Rush 77; Denver 324 – Pass 218, Rush 106.
This is a big match for both teams from the same division and both are in the hunt for a playoff berth. The LA Chargers beat Denver 23-16 last time they met and a win tonight would see them leapfrog the Broncos at the top of the division.
However, the Chargers were poor last week losing to Tampa Bay 40-17. They only had 206 total yards on offense, compared to 506 for Tampa Bay and only 32 of those yards came via rushing
Denver won last week, beating Indianapolis 31-13. The Broncos did lose on yardage 193 – 310 and QB Bo Nix was intercepted for 3 times too, which is a season high. Denver are on a 4 game winning streak but there is a good chance it will come to an end here.
However, neither side inspire me too much in this big divisional showdown so we’ll leave the spread alone. No bet.
2024 NFL Week 16 TNF Pick: No Bet
Prop lines
Justin Herbert (Chargers) – 231.5
Bo NIx (Broncos) – 222.5
Rushing Yards
Gus Edwards (LA) 35.5; Kimani Vidal (LA) 27.5; Justin Herbert (LA) 10.5.
Javonte Williams (Den) 38.5; Audric Estime (Den) 26.5; Bo Nix (Den) 20.5
Receiving Yards
L McConkey (LA) 67.5; Q Johnston (LA) 37.5; S Smartt (LA) 36.5; J Palmer (LA) 30.5.
C Sutton (Den) 62.5; D Vele (Den) 32.5; M Mims (Den) 23.5; J Williams (Den) 14.5.
The LA chargers have struggled to run the football since JK. Dobbins’ injury. Unfortunately, neither Gus Edwards or Kimani Vidal are up to scratch and since Dobbins injury, Justin Herbert (1,12,0) has only rushed for 13 yards in three matches. Last week, he didn’t attempt to rush the ball even once.
2024 NFL Week 16 TNF Pick: Justin Herbert UNDER 10.5 YARDS RUSHING @ 1.91
Denver have also struggled to move the ball on the ground since early in the season. The key to the Broncos’ rush offense is Jaleel McLaughlin and with him being out injured, this leaves Javonte Williams as the key RB. He has had a few good performances this season (77, 61, 88, 44, 42, 59). He has been out of form recently but will be given every chance to run the football in this important match.
2024 NFL Week 16 TNF Pick: Javonte Williams OVER 38.5 YARDS Rushing @ 1.91
