This has been a very unpredictable start to the season but Jan is looking to get off to a goood start to this gameweek with a couple of bets for tonight’s Thursday night football game between the Cowboys and Giants. Dallas Cowboys (1-1) @ New York Giants (1-1)

Vegas Lines: Dallas Cowboys -6.5 points; Total Points 45.5

Dallas Cowboys Results: W @ Cleveland 30-17; L vs New Orleans 20-23; L vs Baltimore 25-28

New York Giants Results: L vs Minnesota 6-28; L @ Washington 18-21; W @ Cleveland 21-15

The New York Giants got off the mark last week with an impressive win in Cleveland. They had a good mix of passes and rushes in their game and this should continue again tonight.

Dallas have a strong passing game but like many teams, they struggled rushing the football against the Baltimore Ravens. They will be able to have a more balanced offensive approach against this Giants’ defense.

I believe this will be a close game, hence my rating of only 2.5 advantage to the Cowboys, so I can have a confident selection of New York Giants +5.5.

Another interesting angle is that Rico Dowdle’s rushing yards have been set at 40.5 for the match. In the 3 matches so far, he has rushed for 32yds, 30yds and 26yds. Dallas tend to favour a more aerial approach and also, the Giants only allowed Cleveland 69 Rushing Yards last week. So, I will put this up as a prop bet. Rushing Yards under/over lines may vary slightly from book to book, this line is from Pinnacle.
