2024 NFL Week 6 MNF Picks

Jan Keys returned to NFL action with a bang this week. After going 1-1 with his picks for TNF, he hit the motherload on Sunday with a full house, four winners from four bets and he is now 18-9 overall for the season. Hopefully we can finish off GW6 strong, check out Jan’s 2024 NFL Week 6 MNF picks below.

NEW YORK JETS (2-3) VS BUFFALO BILLS (3-2)

VEGAS LINES: Buffalo -1; TOTAL POINTS: 41.0
JAN KEYS RATINGS: Buffalo -1; TOTAL POINTS: 42.5

Last week’s Results

Minnesota 23 – N.Y. Jets 17 (London); Houston 23 – Buffalo 20

Offensive And Defensive Averages

NY Jets: Total Yards (Off/Def) 1433 – 1279; Passing 1129 – 806; Rushing 402 – 596

Buffalo: Total Yards  1499 – 1712; Passing 950 – 1075; Rushing 591 – 720

It has been a tough start to the season for the New York Jets. After losing as expected at San Francisco, they would have been hoping to have a positive record at this stage. However, losing 10-9 at home to Denver hurt them badly and then last week, losing in London to Minnesota would’ve been hugely disappointing. The Jets owners were certainly disappointed, so much so they fired head coach Robert Saleh.

That being said, the Jets’ passing numbers have been good compared to tonight’s opponent and they go into this match knowing it’s more or less a 50-50 match up.

The Buffalo Bills had a great start to the season, going 3-0, but have now lost their last two matches. While my Superbowl pick Baltimore thrashed them, they did run Houston close last weekend. However, both these sides are solid teams so it was no great surprise for them to lose these matches.

Injury Hit Bills

The Bills come into this match with two of their best offensive players either out or not fully fit. Running back James Cook is a key injury doubt and the Bills don’t have much of a back-up if he is missing. QB Josh Allen may use his legs more but that is not ideal. Also, the Bills are likely to miss key wide receiver Khalil Shakir, which means they will have to rely on Dalton Kincaid to improve his poor figures so far this season.

I have thought about this match and struggle to see how this injury hit Buffalo Bills offense can do enough to win, even with the Jets firing their head-coach last week. The line has moved against the Bills the last couple of days from -2.5 to -1, so I’m going to back the Jets to cover the spread.

2024 NFL Week 6 MNF Pick: New York Jets +1 @ 1.80
