2025 Baltic Sea Darts Sunday Preview & Tips

James Punt’s 2025 Baltic Sea Darts Sunday previews and tips are below. He fired in three winners from four bets on Saturday night, here’s hoping for a similar outcome today.

Luke Humphries vs. Ryan Searle

Heavy Metal has been back practicing with Gary Anderson and his game looked in good shape as he beat Cameron Menzies 6-3 with a 100 average. Searle has won six of his last ten matches and he has hit some big averages, but also some poor ones. His Euro Tour record in 2025 is not good. He has only reached the third round twice and won just one of those matches. Will the Anderson effect make a difference?

Humphries was poor in his 6-5 win over Mickey Mansell. A 91.57 average saw him sail close to defeat, but it was a win and he has now won eight of his last ten matches.

Their H2H record is 12-6 to Humphries. Their last match was a 10-0 win for Humphries at the UK Open and he has won six of their last seven matches.

Humphries is the 1.40 favourite. Searle 3.40. Based on yesterday’s performances, Searle could be the value bet, but can Humphries be as poor twice in a row? Maybe, but I will pass on this one.

2025 Baltic Sea Darts Sunday Tip: No Bet

Gerwyn Price vs. Wessel Nijman

Price has won eight of his last ten matches and while he still throws in some duff performances, he is in decent nick and having plenty of good runs.

Nijman beat a very disappointing Damon Heta 6-3 yesterday, but it was a win gifted wrapped by the Aussie who just had a meltdown. Nijman has not impressed in either of his two matches so far, but he has won seven of his last ten and has played a lot better than he has shown so far.

Their H2H record is 3-2 to Price. He won their only match this year, a 6-3 win in ET3.

Price is the 1.54 favourite, Nijman 2.63. Three of their five matches have been over 9.5 legs. Nijman will have to raise his game but he has averaged 100 across his seven matches with Price.

2025 Baltic Sea Darts Sunday Tip: 1 point over 9.5 legs @ 2.00 with Boylesports, Betfair, Hills

Nathan Aspinall vs. Danny Noppert

It was a strange game from Aspinall last night. He beat Pietreczko 6-4 but let slip a 4-1 lead and the match went to 4-4. Pietreczko missed two darts to go 5-4 and The Asp was able to gather up the last two legs to win 6-4. He is sounding very confident and in a good frame of mind.

Noppert averaged 100 in his 6-3 win over Mike De Decker yesterday. He has won six of his last ten matches and looks good enough to get to the quarter finals before losing. But he needs to beat Aspinall first.

Their H2H record is 11 -9 to Aspinall. Noppert has won their last three, all in 2024. That ended a run of four consecutive wins for Aspinall. On the Euro Tour their record is 5-2 to Noppert.

Aspinall is the 1.73 favourite, Noppert 2.38. Nine of their thirteen matches have ended over 9.5 legs and this does have the look of a close match.

2025 Baltic Sea Darts Sunday Tip: 1 point over 9.5 legs @ 1.91 generally available

Chris Dobey vs. Ross Smith

Dobey saw off a disappointing Dirk van Duijvenbode 6-3 last night. Dobey has won six of his last ten and is playing some good stuff. His problem is that he drops into low 90 averages too often. That can be good enough to win against the rank and file but will get him found out eventually.

Ross Smith was playing with borrowed kit yesterday after his suitcase was lost by his airline. It didn’t stop him beating Kim Huybrechts 6-0, but that was more a case of Huybrechts being poor. Smith has won seven of his last ten matches and he is a mirror image of Dobey. He plays a lot of great stuff, interspersed with duff performances.

Two inconsistent players going head-to-head? Run for the hills.

Their H2H record is 6-5 to Dobey, but Smith has won their last two. Frankly, betting on the toss of a coin would be more interesting.

There is one bet worth having which doesn’t involve backing either player. These two are big 180 hitters. Their last three matches produced 23 maximums at 0.69 per leg. Before that they hit twenty seven in a six setter at the 2024 World Championship.

2025 Baltic Sea Darts Sunday Tip: 1 point over 6.5 180s @ 1.91 with Betfred

Niko Springer vs. Martin Schindler

Springer ended the hopes of the form man and our number 1 outright selection, Stephen Bunting last night, winning 6-2 with a 100 average, only his second ton plus average in eighteen matches. He has won six of his last ten matches and has not been in top form.

Schindler was only OK in his 6-3 win over Wattimena but it wasn’t a great match. He will not have the home advantage today against a fellow German and this is an interesting clash between the top German player, Schindler, and the next big thing in German darts, Springer. Schindler has won five of his last ten matches. He has been inconsistent at best and not at the top of his game.

Neither player has been in their best form lately, but Springer was the more impressive yesterday and has two wins under his belt this weekend. Springer won their only match in 2025, 6-2 in ET7 back in May.

2025 Baltic Sea Darts Sunday Tip: 1 point Niko Springer to win @ 2.20 with BET365

James Wade vs. Daryl Gurney

Wade has hit some good form of late, winning PC19 and eight of his last ten matches. He gave Woodhouse a 6-1 drubbing yesterday and looks in a good frame of mind.

Gurney has beaten Chisnall and Lukeman in the first two rounds and he too has won eight of his last ten matches. He has only won one of his four third round matches in Europe this year.

Their H2H record is 9-7 to Wade. They have not met since October 2024, with Gurney winning their last two matches 6-1. They had one Premier League draw, but most of their matches have been one sided. Of their eleven best of eleven leg matches, eight were under 9.5 legs.

2025 Baltic Sea Darts Sunday Tip: 1 point under 9.5 legs @ 1.83 generally available

Jonny Clayton vs. Josh Rock

The Ferret is looking in great form. He saw off Gian van Veen 6-4 last night, with a 98.54 average and he has won eight of his last ten matches.

Rock averaged 100 in his 6-1 win over Justin Hood. He too looks in great form and he too has won eight of his last ten matches.

Their H2H record is 6-4 to Rock and he has won their last four on the bounce. The last time they met on the Euro Tour it was an 8-4 win for Rock in the final of the Dutch Darts Championship last year.

We are on Rock outright, so hopefully he continues his good run against Clayton, but it is likely to be close.

2025 Baltic Sea Darts Sunday Tip: 1 point over 9.5 legs @ 2.00 with Betfair

Andy Baetens vs. Gary Anderson

Anderson is experimenting with new, longer points this weekend. He beat Ratajski 6-2 yesterday, averaging 98.77. That was only his fourth win in in last ten matches, but he has been practicing with Ryan Searle again recently.

Baetens produced his own 98 average in a 6-2 win over Rob Cross which was a surprise. Can he do it against another World Champion?

Baetens has won eight of his last ten matches, a very good run of form for a player with a seasonal win rate of just 41%. He usually doesn’t have the firepower to match the likes of Anderson and Anderson has to be fancied to justify his odds of 1.34 but it is a no bet for me.
