2025 Czech Darts Open Friday Preview

James Punt got off to a tricky start this afternoon and he is hoping to bounce straight back this evening. His 2025 Czech Darts Open Friday preview is below.

Dirk van Duijvenbode vs. Cor Dekker

Dirk has won six of his last ten matches, but he is blowing hot and cold and struggling for consistency. He has won eight of his first-round matches on the Euro Tour in 2025.

Cor Dekker is a rare visitor to the Euro Tour, playing in just four events since 2019. He has won just one first round match, last year. His recent form sees eight wins from his last ten matches and his two defeats were to Bunting and Wade. He has a good A game, but poor consistency. He does have a puncher’s chance in this format.

There is no H2H record to go on. Dirk is the 1.30 favourite and it is a tough draw for Dekker. No bet.

2025 Czech Darts Open Friday Tip: No Bet

Ryan Searle vs. Filip Manak

Manak averaged 78.76 across his four qualifying matches yesterday, so he will likely be outgunned by Searle here.

Heavy Metal has struggled on the Euro Tour in 2025 but he has started to pick up a few wins, reaching the quarter finals in the Dutch Darts Championship and making the third round in the last two events. This is a good chance to pick up some more ranking money and ensure his place in the finals. He is the 1.08 favourite to win. No bet.

2025 Czech Darts Open Friday Tip: No Bet

Daryl Gurney vs. Kevin Doets

Fresh from his first semi-final of the 2025 Euro Tour season, Daryl Gurney will be feeling quite good about things. He is in all the big Championships that are coming up in the months ahead.

Gurney is hitting some better form at the right time, winning seven of his last ten matches, but he is still short of the kind of form that took him to number three in the world a few years ago. He has won six of his seven first round matches on the Euro Tour in 2025.

Kevin Doets was a heavily hyped player a couple of years ago, but he hasn’t really done much. One Players Championship final was his best result and that was in 2023. He has won six of his last ten matches, but he hasn’t beaten much. He has played in three Euro Tour events this year and won one first round match.

Their H2H record is 2-2, all floor matches and three ended 6-5.

Gian Van Veen vs. Maik Kuivenhoven

Van Veen has won seven of his last ten matches and is playing well, if short of his best. He has won seven of his eight first round matches.

Kuivenhoven has won five of his last ten matches but is playing with no consistency. This is his first Euro Tour event of the year and in his career, he has played in eleven events and won six first round matches.

Van Veen is the 1.29 favourite, Kuivenhoven 4.00. Hopefully Van Veen justifies the odds. No bet.

2025 Czech Darts Open Friday Tip: No Bet

Raymond van Barneveld vs. Krzysztof Ratajski

Barney is not in good form, losing six of his last ten matches. He struggled with Xanti van den Bergh last weekend, but experience won him that match. He has lost four of his first-round matches in 2025.

Ratajski has won seven of his last four matches. His B game is pretty good right now and he has gone twelve matches with 91+ averages and seven 95+. He has won four of his six first round matches.

Their H2H record is 5-3 to the Polish Eagle, but Barney has won their last three, including a 6-3 win in the first round of the European Darts Grand Prix in May. He also beat Ratajski on the Euro Tour last year.

Ratajski is the 1.54 favourite, RVB 2.50. Given their recent H2H record I can’t be backing Ratajski at such short odds, but he does look more likely to win. No bet.

2025 Czech Darts Open Friday Tip: No Bet

Nathan Aspinall vs. Jiri Brejcha

Jiri Brejcha averaged 79.33 across is qualifying matches yesterday. This will be his Euro Tour debut and that is all I know about him.

Aspinall has been away from darts since the 20th of July. That is a long time away from competitive darts. He will have recharged the batteries, but how long will it take for him to get back into his groove? He has won two Euro Tour events, the last back in June.

This should be a win for Aspinall, who is the 1.05 favourite, and it is not a betting match. No bet.

2025 Czech Darts Open Friday Tip: No Bet

Mike de Decker vs. Ritchie Edhouse

The Bank of Edhouse has had its doors closed for a while now. It is easy to forget that he is the reigning European Champion, so poor has his Euro Tour form been in 2025. He comes here having won seven of his last ten matches but on the Euro Tour, he has not progressed beyond the third round in his eight appearances.

Madhouse has done enough to be in the provisional qualifying places for this year’s European Championships, but with four more events to go, including this one, he could yet lose out. He has qualified for ET12 after this, but he will have to qualify for ET13 and ET14. To be safe, he would like a win or two this weekend.

It is also easy to forget that Mike de Decker is the reigning World Grand Prix champion as the Belgian has not really kicked on in 2025. De Decker has lost five of his last ten matches and since being runner up in ET1, De Decker has made just two 3rd rounds. However, he has won seven of his eight first round matches, four of them 6-3.

Their H2H record is 3-3 and Decker won their only match in 2025, 6-3.

2025 Czech Darts Open Friday Tip: 0.5 point Mike de Decker to win 6-3 @ 5.50 generally available

Joe Cullen vs. Niko Springer

Joe Cullen is not going to be happy. He is NOT the favourite. How dare the market think that he is not better than Springer. What has he ever won? It is very disrespectful.

Cullen has won five of his last ten matches. One was a 6-1 win over Ian White on the Euro Tour last weekend. He then lost 1-6 to Bunting in the second round. Cullen has lost three of his six first round Euro Tour matches in 2025.

Springer has won six of his last ten matches, all Euro Tour qualifiers. He is not playing that well scoring wise. His record on the Euro Tour in 2025 is that he reached the final of the Dutch Darts Championship and he has lost just one of his six first round matches, getting wins over Gurney, Van Duijvenbode and Wattimena. Cullen should hold no fears.

Their H2H record is 1-0 to Joe Cullen. That was a Players Championship played just eleven days ago. It was a 6-4 win with Cullen averaging 106.42, his highest average in 2025. Will that recent, positive memory be enough to lift Cullen’s game?

2025 Czech Darts Open Friday Tip: 1 point Joe Cullen to win @ 2.30 with SpreadEx
