2025 European Darts Trophy Saturday Night Tips
What an afternoon that was for the main man James Punt. Four bets, four winners. A full house and he has now tipped eight winners in a row. Ain’t nobody, does it better… Check out James’ 2025 European Darts Trophy Saturday night tips below.
Afternoon Delight
We had a full house in this afternoon’s session. The seeds were going down like ninepins but we were on the right players in an interesting session. On to this evening.
Gary Anderson vs. Luke Woodhouse
These two met in the Belgian Darts Open and it was Woodhouse who won 6-2. It was a doubling masterclass from Woodhouse and he will be hard pushed to repeat that. Woodhouse played OK when beating Dominik Grüllich 6-4 yesterday. He has won six of his last ten matches but his game may have cooled a little.
Anderson has been active in the Players Championship events and his slow start to the season has been turned around. He won PC7 on Monday and has won eight of his last ten matches. The question is, can he do it on the stage? Anderson has lost his last five matches on stage.
Their H2H record is 2-2 and none have required more than nine legs.
2025 European Darts Trophy Saturday night tip: 1 point Under 9.5 legs @ 1.80 with Livescorebet
Gerwyn Price vs. Ryan Searle
I suspect Price will be fully wound up for this event. He was robbed of a chance to win the PL night in Cardiff thanks to a 170 checkout by Rob Cross. Price really wanted that win.
He will also really want to win one of these early Euro Tour events so has he can manage his schedule a bit better. Price is playing very well, occasionally let down by his doubling, but his scoring is on point. His problem here is that he is facing the very talented Ryan Searle.
Heavy Metal has taken a belated liking for the Euro Tour and he is targeting winning a title in 2025. Like Price, Searle has won six of his last ten matches and like Price, his scoring is very good. His last six matches have all seen 99+ averages. They have also seen two 6-0 wins.
Bogey Man
Searle’s problem is that he tends to lose to Gerwyn Price. The Welshman is 10-2 against Searle. Price has won their last five in a row and beaten Searle to nil twice in those last five, including a 6-0 on the Euro Tour. They had a much closer match in a Players Championship semi-final in February which Price won 7-5, on his way to winning the title.
Price is the 1.73 favourite, Searle 2.30. I don’t see this one being won to nil and it could be a real humdinger.

Dave Chisnall vs. Ricky Evans
It was an emotional win for Evans when he beat Barney 6-4 last night. It was a solid performance and he showed some bottle to get it over the line. If he can show the same sort of form, he can win this one too.
Chizzy is in poor form, losing six of his last ten matches. His last four have all been sub 90 averages.
Their H2H record is 12-5 to Chisnall and he won their only match in 2025 10-9 at the UK Open. It was a pretty grim match, with both players averaging under 90.
Chisnall has to be opposed and while Evans is not banker material, he gets the nod at even money.
2025 European Darts Trophy Saturday night tip: 1 point Ricky Evans to win @ 2.00 generally available
Peter Wright vs. Mike de Decker
Our outright selection, Mike de Decker is the 1.67 favourite to win this. He beat Martin Lukeman 6-3 last night. It was an OK performance but he will want to play a bit better tonight. De Decker has won seven of his last ten matches, including a 6-3 win over Wright on Monday.
Overall, their H2H record is 6-2 to Peter Wright, but de Decker has won their last two 6-4 and 6-3. Wright has lost six of his last ten matches, but he is playing OK. Nowhere near his old best, but at least he is consistently hitting mid 90 averages.
This may be harder than the odds suggest and as we are already on De Decker outright, I am happy to sit this one out.
2025 European Darts Trophy Saturday night tip: No Bet
Michael van Gerwen vs. Nico Springer
Springer was too good for Daryl Gurney yesterday, with Springer averaging 95 in a 6-4 win. He hit five 180s but his doubling wasn’t great and that has been a weakness in his game recently. Springer has won seven of his last ten matches, including a 6-3 win over MVG in PC7 on Monday. That was a poor match from both players but MVG just couldn’t take advantage.
I was reading that one theory for his recent poor form is that he is suffering from a mystery virus that he picked up while on holiday in Thailand in January. Maybe there is something in that, but his game has been in decline for a couple of years.
Van Gerwen has won five of his last ten matches but he played well on Thursday to reach the final of Night seven of the Premier League.
MVG is the 1.54 favourite to win this, Springer 2.63. I am tempted to back Springer, but his doubling is a weakness, and we don’t know which MVG will turn up. I’d want bigger odds on Springer. No bet.
2025 European Darts Trophy Saturday night tip: No Bet
Luke Humphries vs. Boris Krčmar
Big Boris was at it again yesterday, beating Dirk van Duijvenbode 6-4. He averaged 100 and was a deserved winner. Boris has won six of his last ten matches and has wins over MVG, Josh Rock and now Van Duijvenbode. He is a dangerous opponent and determined to make the most of these opportunities on the Euro Tour.
Luke Humphries has hit a slump in the Premier League, losing his last three matches. He is still scoring very well, just finding others playing better. Humphries rarely plays a poor match and Krcmar is not going to find Humphries as easy to roll over as the likes of Rock or Van Duijvenbode.
Their H2H record is interesting, 3-2 to Humphries. They have played on the Euro Tour twice and it is 1-1. They have not had many close matches and their last four have all been under 9.5 legs.
Humphries should win but if Boris can play like he did against Dirk, then you never know.
Humphries is the 1.25 favourite with Boris 4.50. You can get 2.00 with Boris +2.5 legs, but their history of one sided matches puts me off. No bet.
2025 European Darts Trophy Saturday night tip: No Bet
Jonny Clayton vs. Martin Schindler
Schindler has won nine of his last ten matches and will be feeling confident, but he hasn’t really been pulling up any trees. Seven sub 92 averages and five sub 90s, and he still managed to win PC8 on Tuesday. He has a decent H2H record with Clayton, winning four of their nine matches, but The Ferret has won their last three, including a 10-4 win in the UK Open recently.
Clayton has won six of his last ten matches. He didn’t play mid-week. He has not been playing with a great deal of consistency but he is playing better than Schindler.
Clayton is the 1.67 favourite, Schindler 2.38. Schindler will have the crowd on his side but they have been a decent bunch so far and Clayton should be OK.

Nathan Aspinall vs. Ritchie Edhouse
Will the European branch of the Bank of Edhouse be paying out tonight? He was in rubbish form going into the Belgian Darts Open a couple of weeks ago and he beat Owen Bates 6-4 in round one and Nathan Aspinall 6-5 in round two, before going down 5-6 to Dave Chisnall. He beat the much fancied Kevin Doets 6-2 last night, and Edhouse saves his best for the Euro Tour.
Aspinall has lost six of his last ten matches. OK, he has lost to the likes of Littler, MVG. Wade and Rock, but also to Edhouse. Their H2H record is 4-4 and Edhouse has won their last two, both on the Euro Tour of course.
Edhouse is the 2.43 outsider and I am happy to back him at those odds.
