2025 German Darts GP Saturday

The first round is the usual hotchpotch of matches. Here are the ones that hold some value options.

Ritchie Edhouse vs. Mickey Mansell

Edhouse has won all of his first round matches so far, as befits the European Champion. However, like Ross Smith before him, he has never won a Euro Tour tournament. Rob Cross had that same thing for a few years too. Overall, Edhouse has won six of his last ten matches but lost both his first round matches at the start of the week.

Mickey Mansell had a much more productive time at the recent Players Championships. He was a quarter finalist on Tuesday. He didn’t do anything special but caught players having a off day and he won in second gear.

Overall, he too has won six of his last ten. He is making his first appearance on the 2025 Euro Tour and he needs to make these chances count if he wants to make the European Championship. He won his three first round matches last year but never made the third round.

Their H2H record is 5-4 to Mansell and he can be a tricky proposition for some players, but at least Edhouse knows what to expect. They have met once in 2025 and Mansell won that 6-4. Of their eleven matches, ten have been best of eleven legs, and six have been over 9.5 legs.

Edhouse is the 1.73 favourite and he is the better player, but not massively so.

Madars Razma vs. Robert Grundy

Razma is a late call up but he has landed on his feet with the draw. Robert Grundy won his tour card last year and he has had his moments, such as beating Josh Rock on Tuesday. I had a bet on Rock, so I was not happy. It was also totally unlikely as Rock is in great form, while Grundy has lost eight of his last ten. His win rate in 2025 is just 27%. This will be Grundy’s Euro Tour debut.

Razma is hugely experienced but not in great form, losing five of his last ten matches. He is playing quite well, a bit too much inconsistency but there are plenty of mid 90 averages. He has had a couple of Euro Tour semi-finals but he is hardly a Euro Tour specialist. Razzmatazz has played in thirty two events, winning sixteen first round matches.

2025 German Darts GP Saturday Tip: 1 point Razma to win -1.5 legs @ 1.76 with Livescorebet

Cameron Menzies vs. Kevin Doets

These two met in PC10 and it was Menzies who won 6-3. The Scotsman has won eleven of his last thirteen matches and while he didn’t play well on Monday and Tuesday, he still won four matches. He won PC11 before that, was runner up in PC10 and a semi-finalist in PC9. He has been playing great stuff. Menzies has won five of his eight matches on the Euro Tour but did lose in the first round of ET1.

Doets wins his fair share of matches, but only five of his last ten, and he is not a heavy scorer. Menzies is the better player in just about every metric and hopefully, he can win with something in hand.

Evening Session

Mensur Suljovic vs. Krzysztof Ratajski

Where has Ratajski’s form gone? A few weeks ago he was playing well, looking back to his best, banging in ton plus averages and I was looking forward to backing him on the Euro Tour. But his form has just deserted him. He has lost nine of his last twelve matches and his last five in a row. He lost 3-6 to Pietreczko in ET3, averaging just 85.83.

Suljovic doesn’t get to play in many Euro Tours these days and his recent poor form is giving Ratajski a run for his money, losing six of his last ten. As a form line, he played Pietreczko ten days ago and lost 5-6. He is playing OK and he beat the promising Niko Springer 6-5 on Tuesday, averaging 95.60.

Their H2H record is 5-5 and Ratajski won their only match in 2025, 6-4 back in February.

2025 German Darts GP Saturday Tip: 1 point Mensur Suljovic to win @ 2.50 generally available

Martin Schindler vs. Mario Vandenbogaerde

Schindy is the big favourite here at 1.40 but Super Mario should not be taken lightly. The Belgian has won seven of his last ten matches and he is 2-2 against Schindler. He has given Schindler two hammerings, 6-0 and 6-1, albeit two and three years ago.

They last played in this year’s UK Open and Schindler won that 10-7. Vandenbogaerde has won four of his last five first round matches on the Euro Tour. He averaged 98.60 when beating Callan Rydz in the first round of ET3.

Schindler has also won seven of his last ten matches but he hasn’t been putting people away. In his last nine best of eleven leg matches, he has had eight that required ten or more legs.

Schindler is the 1.40 favourite, Super Mario 3.25.
