2025 GSOD Semi-Finals Preview
Now, it is time for James Punt’s 2025 GSOD Semi-Finals preview. James landed one winner from two bets on Saturday night, find out who he fancies tonight below.
Saturday Reflections
It was another one from two last night and we have one more session to cover. What are the odds of another one from two?
I will keep this one brief. The golden rule of Grand Slam semi-final betting is to decide who is more likely to win the match and then back them to win 16-12. In the last ten years, 45% of the semi-finals have ended with a 16-12 scoreline, and 70% over 27.5 legs.
Luke Humphries vs. Gerwyn Price
Humphries has looked the more impressive player of the two so far. His tournament average is 100.73 and he is playing as well as he ever has done.
Gerwyn Price is playing well, with a tournament average of 98.10, and he is going for Grand Slam title number four. However, he has not won a Major ranking title since he won here in 2021. Four years between drinks is a long time. In the same time frame, Humphries has won seven and been runner up in another four.
Their H2H record is 14-11 to Price and in 2025 it is 5-3. Amazingly, they have only ever played two longer format matches. One was in the Players Championship Finals in 2020 which Price won 10-6. The other was the final of the 2023 Grand Prix, which Humphries won 5 sets to 2.
Humphries is the 1.50 favourite, Price 2.75.
2025 GSOD Semi-Finals Tip: 1 point over 27.5 legs @ 1.91 with Ladbrokes, Boylesports
2025 GSOD Semi-Finals Tip: 0.5 point Luke Humphries to win 16-12 @ 10.50 with Livescorebet
Luke Littler vs. Danny Noppert
Danny Noppert has lost eight of his nine previous ranking major semi-finals. He now faces the best player in the world and the market says that his chances of that record being extended to ten losing semi-finals is a 1.11 shot. I am not going to disagree.
Their H2H record is 3-1 to Littler. They have played one match on TV, in last year’s Players Championship finals, and Littler won that 10-3. They have played once in 2025, in a Euro Tour semi-final, and Noppert won that 7-4. That was a poor match and Littler was just 20% on his doubles, allowing Noppert to win with an 89.79 average. I can’t see that kind of thing happening today.
Littler’s tournament average is 101.76, Noppert’s 98.42. We should expect Noppert to win his fair share of legs, hopefully twelve of them.

2025 GSOD Semi-Finals Tip: 0.5 point Littler to win 16-12 @ 11.00 with BET365, Hills
I won’t be covering the final, it will be wine o’clock by then. We are on Littler to win it and maybe he will, but Humphries is looking in great form. Most of the finals in the last ten years have been dull affairs. The closest matches were in 2018 and 2015 which ended 16-13. Only four of the last ten saw over 24.5 legs.
Next weekend we have the Players Championship Finals, and before you know it, the World Championship.
