2025 Night 11 Premier League Darts Preview
This Thursday the Premier League roadshow rolls into Rotterdam, home territory for MVG. Will he get his first nightly win of the season? Check out James Punt’s 2025 Night 11 Premier League Darts preview below.
Night 10 Reflections
Night 10 was the worst night of the 2025 PL so far, with four points dropped. That takes the season to date tally to -3.97 points. That pint looks a long way off now. I was thinking of cutting down anyway.
Night 11 comes from Rotterdam in the Netherlands. Big home crowd advantage for an out of sorts Michael Van Gerwen.
It was Nathan Aspinall who won Night 10 and he has moved into the top four, moving MVG down to fifth place. They are both on 15 points but MVG has a -9 leg difference and that week missed, and the 0-6 match score awarded against him, could prove to be very expensive.
Gerwyn Price is also on fifteen points and he was the big winner when MVG had to pull out two weeks ago, handing the Welshman a 6-0 win and two points.
The two Lukes look in cruise mode in first and second place, with Littler holding a 5 point lead. Bunting remains in last place on 5 points, two behind Dobey, with Rob Cross on 12 points and he is not out of the hunt.
Luke Humphries vs. Chris Dobey
Humphries didn’t travel to the Netherlands for the two Players Championship events on Monday and Tuesday, so he should be a little fresher this week. He is playing well, hitting seven ton plus averages in his last ten matches, but he has lost four of those last ten.
Chris Dobey did play in the Players Championships, winning four of his six matches. His form is not great with a 2025 win rate of just 54%, losing five of his last ten, but he has won two of his last four quarter finals.
Their H2H record is 11-7 to Humphries and in the PL in 2025, 3-0.
Humphries is the 1.36 favourite, Dobey 3.10. Humphries has covered a -1.5 leg handicap in all three so far and he is playing better than Dobey right now.

Gerwyn Price vs. Nathan Aspinall
This is a big match. Both players tied on 15 points in the league table, so one is going to take a two point lead over the other.
Both are in good form. Price continues to play in everything as he looks to use match practice to hone his game. He was in Rosmalen for the Players Championships earlier in the week and while he played well, he will have been frustrated to win just four matches.
He lost 4-6 to Max Hopp on Monday, and 5-6 to Picardo Pietreczko on Tuesday, despite averaging 103.77. That sums his current form up. Playing very well but losing more matches than he should. He is just lacking the killer touch, but he is very close to his best. Price has won seven of his last ten matches.
Confidence Key
Nathan Aspinall is almost a mirror image of Price. He is winning more matches than his play suggests he should, but that is what confidence does for you. Aspinall won ET2 four weeks ago, was runner up in ET3 two weeks later, and was runner up in PC13 on Monday. The Asp has won nine of his last ten matches, managed one ton plus average, had three sub 90s and six under his 2025 average of 95.4.
Price is scoring better but not winning as many matches as Aspinall. Their H2H record is 20-13 to Price and he is 2-1 in this year’s PL. Aspinall won their last match, a 6-5 win, with Price averaging 105 and Aspinall 103.
The difference was doubling. It was 66% on the checkouts for Aspinall and 39% for Price. It is the one bit of the jigsaw missing for Price, he is missing a few too many important doubles. Overall, he is good on the outer ring, ranked 13th for Checkout %, but it is the important ones he misses that are holding him back from being rampant.
Price Fav
Price is the 1.73 favourite, Aspinall 2.20.
They have played eleven PL matches in the current format, Price has won seven, Aspinall four. Five of Price’s wins have been under 9.5 legs, all of Aspinall’s over 9.5. That is not much other than to suggest that if Price wins it will be fairly comfortable, if Aspinall wins, it will be close.
Price has had four 6-3 wins from eleven PL matches against Aspinall, and he will not keep on getting beaten when hitting ton plus averages.

Michael van Gerwen vs. Stephen Bunting
MVG had home advantage earlier this week with the two Players Championship events being played in the Netherlands. No hotels required. However, his mixed form continued with a first round defeat to Mario Vandenbogaerde on Monday.
Van Gerwen won three matches on Tuesday, but not in any great style and not against any great quality. He lost in the fourth round 1-6 to eventual winner, Jonny Clayton.
Van Gerwen has lost six of his last ten matches. His shirt related injury that ruled him out two weeks ago is still causing him a little bother, but he has not been playing well for a long time. His 2025 win rate is just 51% and that is not due to a recent injury.
Night 9 Winner
Bunting won Night 9 in Berlin, but despite playing well last week, he got stuffed 1-6 by a rampant Humphries. Bunting was another that didn’t play earlier this week. His recent form is very good, winning eight of his last ten matches. After winning Night 9, Bunting won ET3 in Riesa and he was due a bit of a break.
Their H2H record is very one sided. 22-4 for MVG. They have only met once in this year’s PL and MVG won that 6-1. That was back in February, on Night 2. MVG averaged 109 that night and I cannot see a repeat of that. They have only met twice in the last two years and it was 1-1 from those two.
As for MVG’s home advantage, in this format, his record in the last three years is being runner up in 2022, but he just scraped through the quarter final with a 5-6 win over Michael Smith and averaging under 90. For the last two years, he has lost in the quarter final to Aspinall, 5-6 and 4-6. Not great, in other words.
Home Favourite
We have the big home favourite, who has a poor home record and who is not in good form, against a player who has turned his form around simply by winning a PL match. After that win he picked up the nightly win and backed it up with a European Tour title.
The only concern about Bunting is that he will not have the crowd on his side, at all, and he is used to losing to MVG.
Bunting is being backed and is into 2.00, with MVG the very marginal 1.91 favourite. I couldn’t back MVG at those odds given his form, but what he has done well is to win seven of his nine quarter finals. Bunting has won one.
It’s a no bet for me.
2025 Night 11 Premier League Darts Tip: No bet
Luke Littler vs. Rob Cross
Rob Cross is back in sixth place and a bit of a forgotten man in this PL, but he is not out of it. Luke Littler is enjoying the luxury of not having to travel to Euro Tours, or Players Championships outside the UK. He is a lot fresher than most of these guys.
Rob Cross also skipped the Players Championships this week, and last week, and he has only played six matches in the last three weeks, winning just two of them. He also missed the last Euro Tour event. His absence was not to have a rest but because of illness.
Voltage did turn up for last week’s PL and lost 2-6 to Aspinall. After a solid run of five straight quarter final wins, he has lost his last two, but he wasn’t feeling well for either. How will he be feeling tonight? I have no idea.
Their H2H record is 12-2 to Littler and in this year’s PL 4-0. The last three of those have taken less than 9.5 legs to wrap up. Littler has had two 6-3 wins over Cross in the his years Pl.
2025 Night 11 Premier League Darts Tip: 0.5 point Luke Littler to win 6-3 @ 5.00 generally available
