2026 German Darts GP R1 Preview
James Punt has already posted his outright preview and tips, see them here. Check out his 2026 German Darts GP R1 preview and tips below.
William O’Connor vs. Sebastian Bialecki
Bilecki is in good form. He isn’t a player we see much off, and he is a bit of a dullard, but he is playing well. He has won seven of his last ten matches and reached the semi-final of PC8 on Tuesday. Bialecki also beat some bloke called Nijman in the first round of ET3 a couple of weeks ago.
O’Connor is playing erratically. He has lost seven of his last ten matches, hit two ton plus averages and five sub 90s. That sort of sums him up as a player.
I struggle to see why O’Connor is the 1.67 favourite.

Niels Zonneveld vs. Adam Lipscombe
We are on Zonneveld outright but there is some value in him to win this match.
Lipscombe has his moments, but he hasn’t had many recently. He has won five of his last ten matches but hit just three 90+ averages. This is his Euro Tour debut.
Zonneveld is in good form, but for some double trouble just at the wrong times. He has reached back to back Euro Tour semi-finals and that is a fair reflection of his game right now.
Their H2H record is 1-1, both matches played last year and both very one sided. Zonneveld won 6-1 and Lipscombe 6-2.

Cameron Menzies vs. Karel Sedlacek
Menzies is on a diet, losing a couple of stone already. Low hanging fruit and all that, but you know my thoughts about darts players and losing weight. Just don’t do it! Darts is a sport for fat blokes, as Menzies might be finding out. He has lost seven of his last ten matches and if he carries on like that, he won’t be able to afford food. That will help with the diet.
Sedlacek got a late call up from the reserve list and this is a chance to cash in. He reached the semi-final of PC5 eleven days ago but has lost his last five matches. He averaged 97.42 in his last match on Tuesday, so there is some light at the end of the tunnel.
Sedlacek is 5-3 vs. Menzies and I’ll take him to make it 6-3.
