2026 German Darts GP Saturday Preview

James Punt started well with two wins from three bets this afternoon. Check out his 2026 German Darts GP Saturday preview and tips below.

Michael Smith vs. James Hurrell

Smith is in decent form, winning six of his last ten, but he isn’t playing with any great consistency. He has hit three 98+averages but one sub 80 and another four sub 90s.

James Hurrell is one of those players who lurks around in the background, making a modest living from the darts and is good enough to ruin somebody’s day. He reached the last 16 stage of the World Championship, knocking out Van Duijvenbode and Bunting along the way.

His recent form is good. He has won seven of his last ten matches hitting three ton plus averages, including a 110.03 in a Euro Tour qualifier on Wednesday. His consistency is good with seven 94+ averages and he will give Smith a game and may win.

The market thinks so and he is the 1.73 favourite. However, he has only ever played two Euro Tour matches and lost both, 4-6 to Gian van Veen last year and 3-6 to Luke Woodhouse in 2024.

They have played four times, with both winning two. All have been over 9.5 legs.

2026 German Darts GP Saturday Tip: 1 point over 9.5 legs @ 2.02 with Livescorebet

Dirk van Duijvenbode vs. Stephen Burton

Burton is a journeyman pro and not in good form, having lost seven of his last ten matches, hitting six sub 90 averages with a best of 92.88. He has played five Euro Tours and lost four first round matches.

Dirk is playing some nice darts right now. He has won six of his last ten matches, nine of them with 94+ averages. He has played Burton four times and it is 2-2. Two required a deciding leg and the others were 6-1 to Dirk and 6-2 to Burton. This has the feel of a one-sided match, and I’ll take Dirk to clean up.

2026 German Darts GP Saturday Tip: Dirk van Duijvenbode to win -2.5 legs @ 2.05 with Betfred

Brendan Dolan vs. Cor Dekker

Dolan is the 1.91 favourite despite being in poor form. He has lost seven of his last ten matches and has been struggling for some time.

Dekker has lost six of his last ten Pro Tour matches and he is playing OK but with no great consistency.

Two players in iffy form means this could be a poor match. They have only met once, and that was just a month ago. Dekker won that 6-5. Both players averaged 87 in that one and I fear we could see something similar here.

2026 German Darts GP Saturday Tip: 1 point over 9.5 legs @ 2.04 with Livescorebet

Kevin Doets vs. Anton Ostlund

Ostlund won five matches on the Nordic Baltic Euro Qualifier to get here. He has played in two Euro Tour events before and won both of his first-round matches, averaging 97.18 to beat Vladimir Anderson 6-2 in 2023, and 95.50 to beat Dirk van Duijvenbode 6-2 in 2024.

Doets has been playing some brilliant darts, including that 117.12 in the opening round of ET2. He reached the semi-final of PC8 on Tuesday. His last four matches all went to a deciding leg, so he has been showing some bottle.

Ostlund to carry on with his record of winning his first round matches 6-2 is a 56.00 shot, and strangely tempting. Doets to win 6-5? That’s 10.5. I think I will leave this one alone.

2026 German Darts GP Saturday Tip: No Bet

Raymond van Barneveld vs. Marcel Hausotter

A couple of weeks ago I might have entertained the thought of backing Hausotter, but Barney showed some better form this week, after he split from his long time manger, the hilariously named Ben de Kock.

Barney reached the last sixteen stage of PC7 on Monday and qualified for ET 5 on Wednesday. That is six wins from his last ten matches and he hit some decent averages. Maybe the decision to part ways from his manager has given him a bit of a kick up the arse as he had been in very poor form before it.

Hausotter came through the local qualifier at the end of last month, but his 12-month average is just 79.

Barney drew a local qualifier here last year and won that 6-3. Something similar?

2026 German Darts GP Saturday Tip: 0.5 point Raymond van Barneveld to win 6-3 @ 5.50 with Betfred

Peter Wright vs. Kim Huybrechts

This is a bit like stepping back in time, with two veterans of the game trying to make the second round. Peter Wright showed some better form by reaching the quarter final of PC7 on Monday, but he lost that quarter final 1-6 to Alan Soutar and averaged 77.77. That is the state of his game these days. He did hit a ton plus in the first round but his 12-month average is just 90.43.

Kim Huybrechts also showed some better form this week. He won six matches in the two Euro Tour qualifiers on Wednesday and he has won nine of his last ten matches overall. Huybrechts is playing with a good deal of consistency, hitting a lot of low to mid 90 averages, and that should be too good for Wright.

Their H2H record is 21-16 to Wright but Huybrechts has won six of their last seven, going back to 2020. They played on the Euro Tour last year and Huybrechts won that 6-5 in a scrappy match, but the Belgian has won three of their last seven matches 6-0

Huybrechts is the 1.60 favourite and I will take him on the handicap, and I can’t resist the 6-0.

2026 German Darts GP Saturday Tip: 1 point Kim Huybrechts to win -1.5 legs @ 1.95 with Livescorebet
2026 German Darts GP Saturday Tip: 0.5 point Kim Huybrechts to win 6-0 @ 26.00 generally available

Ricardo Pietreczko vs. Ian White

White was a late call up from the reserve list and he comes here reasonable form, winning seven of his last ten matches and hitting a couple of ton plus averages, but also four sub 90s. He has lost his last four Euro Tour first round matches, including a 1-6 loss to Daryl Gurney a couple of weeks ago in Belgium.

Pietreczko has lost seven of his last ten matches but he does win his fair share on the Euro Tour. He has won nine of his last eleven Euro Tour first round matches, and won them easily, covering a -2.5 leg handicap in them all.

These two have only met once, with White winning 6-3 back in 2023.

Pietreczko is the 1.80 favourite and given their respective Euro Tour records I’ll take a chance that Ricardo wins on home soil again. He hasn’t lost a first round match in Germany since 2023.

2026 German Darts GP Saturday Tip: 1 point Ricardo Pietreczko to win @ 1.80 with Betfred BET365

Niko Springer vs. Jan Schmidt

An all-German affair to end the night but not a great betting event, with Springer the 1.10 favourite to win. No bet.
