2026 German Darts GP Sunday Preview

James Punt had just one winner this afternoon but we go again this evening. Check out his 2026 German Darts GP Sunday preview and tips below.

Luke Woodhouse vs. Kim Huybrechts

Huybrechts had an easy win over Peter Wright last night, extending his winning streak to eight consecutive matches. He is not playing like Luke Littler, but he is hitting plenty of 90+ averages.

We have backed Woodhouse outright and he got a free pass into the second round, which was a nice start, but this is a tricky opening match for him. He is the better player, but Huybrechts is full of confidence. Woodhouse has won six of his last ten matches and hit nine consecutive 95+averges. That is a very good standard, and consistent.

Their H2H record is 4-2 to Huybrechts. They first played in 2015 and their last match was last March, Huybrechts winning 6-2. They played a Euro Tour match in 2024, Huybrechts winning that 6-5. I think this will be another close match.

2026 German Darts GP Sunday Tip: 1 point over 9.5 legs @ 2.06 with Livescorebet

Josh Rock vs. Ryan Joyce

Joyce dispatched a local qualifier with a straightforward 6-1 win yesterday. Joyce has won five of his last ten matches and four of his last six saw averages of 93. He reached the quarter final in Belgium two weeks ago, without playing that well.

Josh Rock has lost six of his last ten matches, four of them in the PL. That has been a drag on his form but he has picked up a couple of quarter final wins in the last two weeks and that might be enough to relax him and to be able to play better. He reached the quarter finals of ET1 and ET2.

Their H2H record is 2-2. Their last two were both in the World Grand Prix in 2025 and 2024, with one each, and they played two Players Championship matches, both winning one 6-1.

Rock is the 1.54 favourite, Joyce 2.75. The odds look about right to me. No bet.

2026 German Darts GP Sunday Tip: No Bet

James Wade vs. Kevin Doets

Doets won to nil against Ostlund last night, with the Swede averaging just 72. He will be expecting to face a tougher opponent tonight.

Wade has played a light schedule in 2026, reaching the final of the UK Open last month, but he has lost his two Euro Tour matches, having opted to skip ET2. Wade played in the Players Championship matches on Monday and Tuesday, winning three matches and playing some good stuff. Wade was a semi-finalist in this event in 2018 but hasn’t got beyond the second round in his last three visits to Munich.

Doets has won seven of his last ten matches and hit multiple 90+ plus averages, so he is very consistent and hard to beat.

Their H2H record is 3-1 to Wade and they last played in February, with Wade winning 6-4. Three of their four matches have ended 6-4 and the other 6-5, so you can guess where I am going with this one.

2026 German Darts GP Sunday Tip: 1 point over 9.5 legs @ 1.97 with Livescorebet

Jonny Clayton vs. Marcel Hausotter

Hausotter beat Raymond van Barneveld last night. Barney only plays well when I bet against him these days. Hausotter averaged 88.13 in his 6-4 win.

The Otter is 8.50 to beat The Ferret. It’s like one of those YouTube videos, who would win a fight between a Shark and a Hippopotamus. I did use AI to come up with a definitive answer about who would win a fight between an Otter and a Ferret, but came up dry, proving that AI is not what it cracked up to be.

Anyway, in this case, my money is on the Ferret, but not at odds of 1.11. No bet.

2026 German Darts GP Sunday Tip: No Bet

Michael van Gerwen vs. Niko Springer

Springer made very hard work of beating local qualifier Jan Schmidt 6-5 last night. It was a poor match. Springer has won six of his last ten matches and only averaged 89.33 across his last six matches. He is not in great form.

MVG has also won six of his last ten matches but his form is hard to pin down. He is playing a lot of PL matches against the best players in the game, but he has also lost to Merv King and Jeffrey Sparidaans in this week’s Players Championships. His scoring is mostly very good, but he just isn’t the winning machine that he once was. Perhaps a return to a venue where he has enjoyed a lot of success will concentrate his mind.

Their H2H record is 2-1 to Springer, all were played last year and two required a deciding leg. MVG’s win came in a Euro Tour match and saw a 6-5 win.

We are on MVG for the tournament win, so hopefully he can come through this, but he is no value at 1.36 to beat Springer. No bet.

2026 German Darts GP Sunday Tip: No Bet

Nathan Aspinall vs. Ricardo Pietreczko

Pikachu managed to beat Ian White 6-5 last night, despite averaging just 79.19. He has lost seven of his last ten matches and his record in Euro Tour second matches is not great, losing fifteen of his last twenty-four played.

The Asp isn’t doing much better, losing six of his last ten matches, and he isn’t in good form. Their H2H record is 4-1 to Aspinall and they played twice on the Euro Tour last year, Aspinall winning them 6-3 and 6-4.

Aspinall is the 1.36 favourite, Pietreczko 3.65. Aspinall should win it but given his recent form, he makes no appeal at such short odds. No bet.

2026 German Darts GP Sunday Tip: No Bet

Martin Schindler vs. Brendan Dolan

Dolan was right there with Pitreczko, averaging 79.55 in his 6-5 win over Cor Dekker. That ended a run of seven Euro Tour defeats and he will have welcomed the win, while realising that he was very lucky. You have to go back to March 2023 to find the last time Dolan won a second-round match on the Euro Tour.

Schindler has lost two of his three second round matches in 2026, but last year he won thirteen from fourteen played. He is not in great form, losing six of his last ten matches, but his scoring has been quite good and he should be far too good for the struggling Dolan.

Their H2H record is 6-5 to Dolan but Schindler has won their last four in a row, including a 6-1 win in February.

Schindler is the 1.57 favourite, Dolan 2.50. That looks quite generous about Schindler and I will take him on the handicap.

2026 German Darts GP Sunday Tip: 1 point Martin Schindler to win -1.5 legs @ 1.91 generally available

Gian van Veen vs. William O’Connor

Van Veen looked back to something like his usual form on Thursday night, beating Littler and Rock, before running out of steam in the final against Price. He might struggle with playing multiple matches in one day so soon after surgery, but he should be fine here.

O’Connor beat Bialecki 6-2 yesterday and it was a decent display with a 94.06 average. He has won just four of his last ten matches and there is absolutely no consistency in his game. He is hitting ton plus averages and 81 averages in equal measure.

Their H2H record is 2-1 to Van Veen, but they have not met since 2024. None of the three matches required more than eight legs, with Van Veen wining 6-2 and 6-1, and O’Connor wining 6-1 in their most recent match, all on the floor.

Van Veen is the 1.40 favourite, O’Connor 3.00. O’Connor has lost his last six second round matches on the Euro Tour, two of them 1-6.

2026 German Darts GP Sunday Tip: 0.5 point Gian Van Veen to win 6-1 @ 9.00 with SpreadEx
