2026 Poland Darts Open Saturday Preview

A difficult afternoon for us but we go again. check out James Punt’s 2026 Poland Darts Open Saturday preview below.

Josh Rock vs. William O’Connor

Josh Rock took on the green half of Glasgow, and Luke Humphries, on Thursday night and got thumped 2-6. He did average 97.11 but it was never enough. Rock has lost six of his last ten matches and while most have been to the elite of the game, he has also lost to Zonneveld and Jim Long. Losing can become a habit.

Willy O’Connor annoyed me by beating Harrysson 6-4 yesterday. He had lost four of his last five going into that match, but he decided he would play his A game, just to spite me. He has now played ten matches in 2026 and won five, half seeing sub 90 averages.

Their H2H record is 2-2, and in 2025 1-1, with Rock beating O’Connor 6-2 in ET11 last September.

O’Connor lost four of his five Euro Tour second round matches in 2025 and he has only won three second round matches in his last twenty one attempts.

Rock is the 1.50 favourite, O’Connor 2.75. Rock is the better player but he is too short at those odds. If O’Connor can play somewhere near how he played yesterday we should have a better contest than the last time they played on the Euro Tour.

2026 Poland Darts Open Saturday Tip: 0.5 point Josh Rock to win 6-4 @ 6.00 generally available

Jonny Clayton vs. Adam Gawlas

Gawlas was able to take advantage of poor doubling by Dirk van Duijvenbode last night, winning 6-3 despite a modest 89.51 average. He has won seven of his last ten matches and has mostly played better than he did last night.

Jonny Clayton was in top form on Thursday night, winning night 3 of the PL in Glasgow. He does save his best for that event, but he is playing well and reached the quarter final of PC3 on Monday with some nice darts played.

These two have played twice before with one win each. Clayton is the 1.36 favourite, Gawlas 3.60. I’ll take the in form Welshman to cover the handicap.

2026 Poland Darts Open Saturday Tip: 1 point Jonny Clayton to win -1.5 legs @ 1.73 with Betvictor

Michael Smith vs. Joe Cullen

Michael Smith continues to fight with his various illness and aliments. He has dropped to 32nd in the world rankings having been the number one in 2022. He did make two major quarter finals in 2025 so he can still play but he is struggling overall.

Smith has won seven of his last ten matches. He initially failed to qualify for this, losing controversially to Micky Mansell, but he got a late call up from the reserve list when Price and MVG withdrew. He has played some good stuff but also had four sub-90 averages in his last ten. Knowing what to expect from him is hard.

Joe Cullen beat Krzysztof Kciuk 6-2 last night, averaging just under a ton. He has won six of his last ten matches and he has been playing with a good level of consistency so far in 2026. He puts it down to practicing more. No shit Sherlock.

Their H2H record is 15-11 to Smith but Cullen beat Smith 6-4 in PC1 just twelve days ago. That was their first match for nearly two years.

Joe Cullen is the 1.80 favourite and he gets my vote given his form in 2026.

2026 Poland Darts Open Saturday Tip: 1 point Joe Cullen to win @ 1.80 generally available

Luke Littler vs. Mike de Decker

In ET1 last year, the Belgium Darts Trophy, Littler beat De Decker 8-5 in the final. Since then, he has beaten the Belgian a further four times and their overall record is 8-0 to Littler. They have had a couple of close matches on TV, a 10-9 in the 2024 Grand Slam and 3-2 in this year’s World Masters, but in the end, it has always been Littler.

Littler is not in top form, losing three of his last four matches. Granted they were all in the Premier League but all saw sub 100 averages. Shocking!

Mike de Decker has won six of his last ten matches, including his poor 6-4 win over Martin Kraft last night. He averaged just under 84 and it wasn’t poor doubling, it was just poor.

Littler is the 1.13 favourite and like so many of his matches, it is impossible to find any value, unless you think he might lose, and against De Decker, I can’t see it. No bet.

2026 Poland Darts Open Saturday Tip: No Bet

Callan Rydz vs. Luke Woodhouse

Rydz was the other player to get a call up from the reserve list. He has been playing well, winning seven of his last ten matches and reaching the semi-final of PC4 on Tuesday, so he arrives here in fine fettle, and is not always the case.

Woodhouse beat Carl Sneyd 6-2 yesterday. It was a professional job, no fuss, no stress. Woody has won seven of his last ten matches and played some good stuff, if lacking in consistency. His record in Euro Tour second round matches is not good. He has played 28 and lost 20. That said, Rydz has not enjoyed much success in Europe either, winning just 4 second round matches from 12 played.

The database says that these two have never met, which I find hard to believe, but they certainly haven’t met in the last year.

Woodhouse is the 1.83 favourite, Rydz 2.10. It is a hard one to call and I am happy to sit this out. No bet.

2026 Poland Darts Open Saturday Tip: No Bet

Luke Humphries vs. Krzysztof Ratajski

The match of the day and one that will have the population of Poland tuning in to see. Unfortunately for them, Luke Humphries is very well equipped to play in a hostile environment and he is playing very good darts right now.

Their H2H record is 7-3 to Humphries and he has won their last seven. They have played seven times on TV, so a lot of big matches, and Humphries won six of them, including a 6-0 win in the European Championships last October. Their previous best of eleven leg match saw a 6-1 win for Humphries.

Humphries is the 1.36 favourite to win and as we are on him outright, I will not be backing him tonight. No bet.

2026 Poland Darts Open Saturday Tip: No Bet

Stephen Bunting vs. Neils Zonneveld

Bunting’s Premier League woes continued on Thursday, with a 3-6 loss to Gian Van Veen. Bunting didn’t play badly, and he has played well in his three PL defeats, but it almost seems inevitable that he will lose those matches. Outside of the PL, Bunting is doing fine and he was runner up in PC3 on Monday.

Zonneveld has been on my radar recently. He has won 70% of his matches in 2026 and seven of his last ten. He is playing with a good deal of consistency, hitting ten 92+ averages in a row. He is not a topflight player, but he is in good form.

Their H2H record is 3-0 to Bunting but I expect Zonneveld to give Bunting something to worry about. Bunting is the 1.57 favourite and Zonneveld 2.50.

2026 Poland Darts Open Saturday Tip: 0.5 point Bunting to win 6-4 @ 6.25 with Livescorebet

Gian Van Veen vs. Andrew Gilding

Gilding was the star performer of round one, averaging 106.55 in a 6-3 win over Jeffrey de Graaf. He was hitting big checkouts and it was a top-class performance. Gilding has won six of his last ten matches, hit three ton plus averages but he hasn’t been that consistent. Van Veen has also won seven of his last ten matches and he does play at a very high level, and consistently so.

Their H2H record is 1-1 and both were over nine legs.

2026 Poland Darts Open Saturday Tip: 1 point over 9.5 legs @ 2.25 with Betfair

Back tomorrow for the third round matches.
