Josh Rock vs. Connor Scutt

Rock made his Euro Tour debut last weekend, winning his first-round match against Devon Petersen 6-3. He was just 30% on his doubles, missing 14, but still averaged 101. He is averaging 95.1 for the season and has won five of his last ten.

Scutt also go his tour card in January, but his recent form sees just two wins from his last ten matches, and he is averaging 87.3. This will be his Euro Tour debut. He will likely be the more nervous and I fancy the heavy scoring Rock to make his class tell.

Scott Williams vs. Adam Gawlas

Williams is another Euro Tour debutant and while he hasn’t made the same sort of impact as Josh Rock, he has beaten some big names, reached the quarter final of PC7 in March and won three titles on the Challenge Tour and leads that OOM.

Gawlas is the more experienced, is a great prospect but his form is only OK, winning six of his last ten, but only averaging 90.3 in 2022, not much more than Williams’ 89.5.

Gawlas is the 1.80 favourite with Williams a 2.15 shot. The money is coming for Williams in what looks like a winnable match, if nerves don’t get to him. He doesn’t look the nervous type to me, and he is worth backing.

Krzysztof Kciuk vs. Keane Barry

Two players who are out of form. Both have lost seven of their last ten matches, but Barry is the 1.57 favourite, thanks to his run to the semi-final of the UK Open. His form has taken a dive since then and he looks worth taking on with the experienced Pole. He beat Rob Cross in the first round of ET1 and with Barry lacking confidence, he may well make another second round.
