Niels Zonneveld vs. Mario Vandenbogaerde
Super Mario is the call here. He has been playing some good stuff and has won eight of his last ten matches and 71% of his matches in 2023. He has beaten some good players and good players in good form, such as RVB, Kim Huybrechts, Ratajski, Humphries and Gilding.
Zonneveld has won six of his last ten but lost four of his last six. He is very inconsistent with a couple of sub 80 averages in those last six, but there was a 103.7 in there as well. Zonneveld has won their previous two matches, both 6-4 wins last year, and he could add to that but he needs to find his better form, which hasn’t been on display to often lately.

Lewy Williams vs. Dennis Nilsson
Williams is in poor form. He has played 11 matches in 2023 and lost 7, including his last four in a row. Only three of his matches have seen an average of 90+ and his seasonal average is just 87.1.
Nilsson is not in the same league as Williams but he has to have a punchers chance in a first to six leg format. He is averaging just 83 in 2023 but the last time we saw him he took Peter Wright to a deciding leg in a World Series event. These two met in ET 1 last year and while Lewis won, he was playing better then and Nilsson still took four legs of him. He beat Martin Lukeman in ET5 and took De Sousa to a deciding leg in the second round.

Jermaine Wattimena vs. Niko Springer
Wattimena has lost four of his last five matches and while he had shown some decent form at the first two qualifying events, he remains a player I like to oppose.
Springer came through the host nation qualifier and scored well with all five averages in the mid-90’s. He also qualified for ET3 and averaged 114.6 in the final. He has won 91% of his matches in 2023 and is averaging 92.2 in 2023. This is a stage game and he is not that experienced, but he played in ET 1 last year and beat…..Jermaine Wattimena 6-4 in the first round and went on to reach the third round, beating Dolan 6-5 in the second round.
