hungary vs Switzerland Match Preview

This is a MUST NOT LOSE match for both teams with Scotland also on a similar level to them. Both these sides are playing well and my international ratings have Switzerland 0.15 favourites. However, I also do club football ratings and over the last 12 months, Hungarian club football comes out a big 0.75 better.

I wouldn’t put anybody off betting Switzerland as they have every chance, but whoever wins I expect it to be by 1 goal only as there is little to choose between these two outfits. Purely on value, and because Hungarian League Football is running at a higher rating, my selection for this match is Hungary.

spain vs Croatia Match Preview

Spain are one of my outright tips for the tournament but this match will be no walk in the park. The Spaniards won their last two matches fairly comfortably but I had them to beat Northern Ireland by 3.30 goals and Andorra by 4.90 goals, so they are only playing to their expected standard.

My international ratings have Spain +0.90 goals, but in my club ratings Spain are only +0.15 goals, even though they have the European Champions.

Both teams know how to score so I would expect them to beat the 2.25 Total Goals line. Croatia had a perfect warm up match against Portugal, who play a similar style to Spain, and came away with a decent 2-1 win. Portugal had 58% of the ball so Croatia did well to ensure that their possession didn’t count.

I expect Spain to have 65% possession here but I believe Croatia will enjoy hitting Spain on the break. A draw wouldn’t be a disaster for these teams as both are expected to beat Albania and both will give Italy a good match.

Italy vs Albania Match Preview

This match is possibly the biggest match in Albania’s history in only their second ever major tournament. Italy are the reigning European Champions, but they have had some mixed form since winning the trophy back in 2021.

My ratings have Italy to win by 1.45 Goals but with Albania being really up for this match, I think the longer Albania can hold out the more nervous Italy will get. However, Albania’s form doesn’t suggest they are capable of turning Italy over.

Like most neutrals I would love to see Albania get something out of this match but it is highly unlikely. Italy to win by exactly one goal is my logical bet.
