Argentina vs Canada Match Preview
Argentina were a shade lucky to make the semi-finals. Ecuador went toe to toe with them and although Argentina were big favourites for the match, it was a very even game. Argentina, like Canada, eventually managed to sneak through after more penalty shootout heroics from Emi Martinez.
Argentina beat Canada 2-0 in the opening fixture of this Copa America. That day I made Argentina 1.55 favourites, today I make them 1.40 favourites. In my opinion, very little has changed since their opening encounter.
Canada will be very pleased to reach the semi-finals of the tournament after losing their opening match. The good news for them is they don’t concede many goals and their usually tight defence will need to be at their best just to help them stay in the game against the World Champions.
I can see Argentina breaking them down eventually and they are worth backing to win by either a one or two goal margin.
