Sprint Preview

Due a much needed extended sleep, there is not enough time for a full preview for today’s darts, but I have a sprint preview of matches of interest.

Zonneveld vs. Pietreczko

The H2H is 5-1 to Pietreczko but neither player is in great form and I can see this being close. Four of their six matches have gone over 9.5 legs

Smith vs. Clayton

If Smith plays like he did yesterday, he wins, but Clayton is playing well too. Seven of their last ten best of eleven leg matches have been over 9.5 legs and two good players, in good form, should produce a close one.

Drtil vs. Huybrechts

Drtil can’t keep winning averaging low 80s. He has been doing the right things at the right time, but he has been lucky so far. It would be ironic if the late substitute, Huybrechts, was the one to take advantage and make the quarter finals, which of course should have been taken by our pick, Josh Rock, but he choked yesterday and lost.

Van Barneveld vs. Wattimena 

Wattimena is playing some good stuff. He thrashed Dobey 6-0 yesterday and while he will not play to that level today, he should win this.

Humphries vs. Van Veen

Van Veen looked in better form yesterday and while he is yet to beat Humphries, they have had a couple of close matches and Humphries is supposed to be exhausted, and said he was too hot last night. This could be closer than the odds suggest.

De Decker vs. Schindler

Schindler is our last outright selection still standing, which means he gets stuffed in all probability.
