Minnesota Vikings: Average Yards (Off/Def) 333-340; Passing 214-260; Rushing 119-80

The Minnesota Vikings have been punching above their weight all season and are 5-1 off a very tough schedule. They were unlucky in their first defeat of the season last week against Detroit (who are a top side). My first thoughts were Minnesota should win this match up, but this isn’t going to be easy.

The LA rams have also had a tough start to the season and their results haven’t been too kind. Before the season started the rams would have been -7 favourites for this match. Just six games in and they are +3 dogs.

The Rams will have star wide receiver Cooper Kupp back after missing 4 matches and with this Minnesota defense being especially good against the rush, the Rams will have to go through the air. I wasn’t impressed with the Rams only winning 20-15 last week against Las Vegas (who I don’t rate very highly).

The Minnesota -3 points line seems about right to me, so I won’t play either side in the spread market.

I have struggled to find much value in this match but I have come up with a prop that I just about like. It is Justin Jefferson under 84.5 yards in receptions.

With the return of TJ Hockenson, although he probably won’t feature much, he brings down Jefferson’s figures around 5 yards. Also, Addison, Jones and Nailor will get plenty of passes so it looks like Jefferson might only get around 5 receptions. Because of this, I believe the unders are more likely.
