2024 NFL Regular Season GW15

It was another even stevens night for Jan Keys on Monday as he went 1-1 with his TNF preview picks. His record now stands at 51-52 for the year so far and he likes the look of five bets this weekend. Check out Jan’s 2024 NFL Regular Season GW15 preview and picks below.

BALTIMORE RAVENS (8-5) @ NEW YORK GIANTS (2-11)

Vegas Line: Baltimore -16; Total Points 42.5

My Ratings: Baltimore -10.6; Total Points 45.2

This is an interesting line, an away team made 16 points favourite. Baltimore are coming off a defeat and a bye week. We all know that Baltimore are a good side and should win comfortably, but this line is very high especially with the Ravens playing a huge game vs Pittsburgh next week. They’ll be hoping to expend as little effort as possible to win this matchup.

The New York Giants are a mess, QB Daniel Jones was dispensed with, then Tommy DeVito came in and the Giants lost 30-7 to Tampa, so DeVito gets dropped for Drew Lock who played reasonably well but he is now injured, so Tommy DeVito comes back in. However, I just think the line is a tad too high and I will take the home team to beat the spread.

NEW YORK JETS (3-10) @ JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS (3-10)

Vegas Line: NY Jets -3.5; Total Points 40

My Ratings: Jacksonville -1.7; Total Points 44.1

The New York Jets played well last week at Miami going down 32-26 in overtime. QB Aaron Rodgers had his highest passing yards total of the season, although the Jets rushing game failed again.

The Jacksonville Jaguars won an ugly game 10-6 in Tennessee last week. Mac Jones continues at Quarterback for the Jaguars and to be honest, there is nothing great to see in this match.

DALLAS COWBOYS (5-8) @ CAROLINA PANTHERS (3-10)

Vegas Line: Carolina -2.5; Total Points: 43.5

My Ratings: Carolina -1.7; Total Points 47.3

Dallas are coming off a loss and a short week. Also, their QB Cooper Rush hasn’t passed for 200 yards in his last two matches. Dallas were disappointing on Monday at home to Cincinnati and they have been waiting for the season to end so they can regroup.

Although Carolina are 3-10 and at times were quite awful in the first half of the season, they have since found some decent form and have lost some close games. They have covered the spread in all of their last five matches. Last week they were 13 point underdogs to Philadelphia and ran them close, even beating them on yardage. Looking at these two teams, one is going forward and one backwards.

2024 NFL REGULAR SEASON GW15 PICK: CAROLINA PANTHERS -2.5 POINTS

WASHINGTON COMMANDERS (8-5) @ NEW ORLEANS SAINTS (5-8)

Vegas Line: Washington -7.5; Total Points 43

My Ratings: Washington -2.1; Total Points 46.4

Washington are coming off a bye week and remain in the hunt for the playoffs, currently sitting in the last spot in seventh. Having a week off would’ve helped this team and the line is higher due to the Saints’ injuries.

New Orleans come into the match with QB issues. Derek Carr suffered a concussion last weekend in the win over the Giants. If he doesn’t make it, the Saints will turn to Jake Haener or Spencer Rattler and both are capable of playing a reasonable games.

However, without Carr, the Saints’ slim chances of making the playoffs become virtually zero. When Carr was injured earlier in the season, the Saints lost all three matches.

CINCINNATI BENGALS (5-8) @ TENNESSEE TITANS (3-10)

Vegas Line: Cincinnati -5; Total Points 47

My Ratings: Cincinnati -6.4; Total Points 51.7

It is hard to understand how Cincinnati have lost eight matches this season. They have a great QB in Joe Burrow and they are playing good football, so it is very surprising they are sitting on a 5-8 season.

Cincinnati are on a short week with a second away match. All went well in Dallas on Monday night and they are rightly favourites here. However, they have many players on short of full fitness and this match may come too soon for them to be a confident selection

Tennessee lost 10-6 at home to Jacksonville at the weekend and they continue to struggle to score points. I can’t see many punters backing the Titans at the moment, including me. They will be hoping to improve on their last two performances which have been really poor.

KANSAS CITY CHIEFS (12-1) @ CLEVELAND BROWNS (3-10)

Vegas Line: Kansas City -4; Total Points 43.5

My Ratings: Kansas City -1; Total Points 44.7

Everyone is getting frustrated about how Kansas manage to pull out wins every week from the jaws of defeat. In their last three matches they have struggled against bad teams like Carolina, Las Vegas & the L.A. Chargers. I’m not sure how KC are 12-1 for the season.

Cleveland are 3-10 for the season and anyone who has seen them recently knows they have a lively offense. QB Jameis Winston continues with good passing numbers helped by some top class receivers. Usually teams out of contention ease off a bit at this time of the season but everyone wants to take the scalp of the Chiefs.

The line reflects that it should be a close match up and I don’t have an angle here.

MIAMI DOLPHINS (6-7) @ HOUSTON TEXANS (8-5)

Vegas Line: Houston -2.5; Total Points 47

My Ratings: Houston -4.6; Total Points 47

Miami are two wins behind three teams to make the playoffs and need to win all four of their remaining matches to stand a chance. The Dolphins are a good side but they suffered a bad blow when QB Tagovailoa missed four matches. They lost a big game in Green Bay two weeks ago in a must win match and weren’t at their best last week, only beating the bang average Jets in overtime. Not much positivity left for the Dolphins.

Houston were lucky to have rest a week last weekend and are fresh. They’ll be looking to confirm their number four Seeding in the playoffs. If they lose this match, they leave the door ajar for the Colts (2 games behind) to put the pressure on, especially as Houston have Kansas and Baltimore in their next two matches. I believe a fresh Houston should cover the spread at home.

2024 NFL REGULAR SEASON GW15 PICK: HOUSTON TEXANS -2.5 POINTS

INDIANAPOLIS COLTS (6-7) @ DENVER BRONCOS (8-5)

Vegas Line: Denver -3.5; Total Points 43.5

My Ratings: Denver -5.5; Total Points 45.2

Both teams are rested up and coming off a bye week. Indianapolis were poor and fortunate to defeat New England 25-24 a fortnight ago and they know this is last chance saloon if they are going to win the AFC South.

Denver are currently in a playoff spot which is a great achievement for this improved team, who are on a three match winning streak. Rookie QB Bo Nix is having a good season and giving this team lots of confidence. In their last match, Denver conceded 475 yards Passing to Cleveland and during the rest week they would’ve being working out how to plug this high number.

I feel Denver are in a better place than Indianapolis at this moment of time and I think they can win by more than 3.5 points.

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS (3-10) @ ARIZONA CARDINALS (6-7)

Vegas Line: Arizona -6; Total Points 45.5

My Line: Arizona -8.5; Total Points 42.4

New England had the better yardage figures in their one point defeat to Indianapolis Colts. QB Drake Maye had a good game but he is a long way off being a top class QB. New England have a few injuries coming into this match and may be there for the taking.

Three weeks ago Arizona had one foot in the playoffs. Since then they lost twice against Seattle and a were defeated narrowly in Minnesota. Those losses leaves their season in must win all four mode. The Cardinals are lucky to have an easy fixture to get some confidence back into the team and this being their last chance, I feel they will give it their all.

2024 NFL REGULAR SEASON GW15 PICK: ARIZONA CARDINALS -6 POINTS

BUFFALO BILLS (10-3) @ DETROIT LIONS (12-1)

Vegas Line: Detroit -2; Total Points 54

My Ratings: Detroit -4.7; Total Points 52.5

This is the match of the weekend. Two heavyweights collide, both with a good chance of reaching the Superbowl. Buffalo QB Josh Allen remains in superb form with his passing and he even has some good rushing numbers. They have no problem scoring points and I expect another high scoring performance.

Detroit are coming off two tough Divisional Home matches, both won by 3 points. They are still playing to a high standard and like Buffalo, they have a great offense. You can see why the Total Points line is high with these two teams scoring at will. I’m not sure who is going to win this one but it looks like it will be a great game to watch.

TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS (7-6) @ LOS ANGELES CHARGERS (8-5)

Vegas Line: LA Chargers -3; Total Points 45

My Ratings: LA Chargers -4.7; Total Points 46.2

Tampa Bay are on a three match winning streak after beating the Giants 30-7, Carolina 26-23 and Las Vegas 28-13. Not exactly the hardest of matches, but they all needed winning. Tampa top the NFC South and know this is their hardest match on the home straight.

The L.A. Chargers are having a good positive season and last week just got edged out by Kansas City, leaving the Chargers looking for one of the playoff spots. They have a soft run in but can’t afford to lose a match. The L.A. Chargers are the favourites for the match but it will be a tough one.

PITTSBURGH STEELERS (10-3) @ PHILADELPHIA EAGLES (11-2)

Vegas Line: Philadelphia -5; Total Points 42

My Ratings: Philadelphia -6; Total Points 46.9

Although Pittsburgh have a 2 game lead over divisional rivals Baltimore with four games to go, it’s far from over. This is the first of three tough matches for them, followed by Baltimore away then Kansas City at home. Not easy. Pittsburgh come into this match with a chance of winning but they know the odds are against them.

Philadelphia have gone from a 2-2 season to an 11-2 season with 9 straight wins and are aiming to hit a 92 year old franchise record by winning ten in a row, so everyone should be happy in the Eagles camp, right? Wrong! QB Jalen Hurts and WR AJ Brown have fallen out big time and aren’t talking to each other (lol), hopefully all will be well by Sunday.

GREEN BAY PACKERS (9-4) @ SEATTLE SEAHAWKS (8-5)

Vegas Line: Green Bay -2.5; Total Points 45.5

My Ratings: Green Bay -1.3; Total Points 46.7

Green Bay are a good side and find themselves third in the NFC North. Had they been in the NFC South or NFC West they would be top. The Packers are probably playoff bound and may have to travel back to Seattle in a few weeks’ time. GB gave Detroit a run for their money last match and have had an extra few days to get over that defeat.

Seattle maybe on a four game winning streak and leading the NFC West but they are still not certain of a playoff spot. It seems every week is a new war for this team. They aren’t a loved team and I’m sure the Packers will attract most of the money, but Seattle know how to prove people wrong. This is a tough call. No bet.
