2025 European Darts GP Saturday Preview
It was a mixed bag for James Punt this afternoon but we go again. Check out his 2025 European Darts GP Saturday betting preview below.
James Wade vs. Joe Cullen
Wade has won five of his last ten matches. He reached the semi-final of ET1 but has lost his next three Euro Tour matches at this stage.
Cullen got a 6-0 win against a local qualifier last night, but needless to say, this will be harder. Cullen has won five of his last ten matches and just three form seven on the Euro Tour. He isn’t playing at the same level as Wade right now.
Their H2H record is 9-8 to Wade. They haven’t played for a year and Cullen won their last two. On the Euro Tour it is 5-0 to Cullen.
Wade is the 1.67 favourite, Cullen 2.30. I am not going to argue with those odds. No bet.
2025 European Darts GP Saturday Tip: No Bet
Jonny Clayton vs. Andrew Gilding
Gilding played well to beat Gabriel Clemens 6-5 last night, he did survive a match dart against him, but it was a ton average for Goldfinger who was facing a very hostile crowd. Gilding has won six of his last ten matches but that win last night ended a run of three straight losses. He is playing OK and last night was his best performance for a month or so.
Jonny Clayton won PC14 three weeks ago and he has been winning plenty of matches on the floor. He was a semi-finalist in PC13 and a quarter finalist in PC12. His stage form has seen him lose four straight games on the Euro Tour at the second round stage.
Their H2H form is 6-3 to Gilding which suggests that maybe The Ferret doesn’t like the pace of play with him. It is Gilding who has won their last four meetings, including two Euro Tour wins.
Clayton is the 1.57 favourite, Gilding 2.48.
2025 European Darts GP Saturday Tip: 1 point Andrew Gilding to win @ 2.48 with Livescorebet
Gerwyn Price vs. Raymond van Barneveld
Barney played well enough to beat Ratajski 6-3 last night. His head didn’t drop, which helps. Will he be able to keep it up against Price? Barney has won five of his last ten matches, much in line with his seasonal average of 53%.
Gerwyn Price has won six of his last ten matches, but he hasn’t really got going on the Euro Tour so far. There have been a couple of quarter finals but he is better than that. He was very poor against MVG on Thursday night but he is much happier facing this Dutchman.
Their H2H record is 8-7 to Barney, but Price has won their last five in a row, including two this year, and the last was just a couple of weeks ago in ET4. That was a 6-3 win and the other in 2025 was 6-1, also played last month. In their last four best of eleven leg matches, the cumulative score is 24-7.
Price is the 1.33 favourite, RVB 3.50.
2025 European Darts GP Saturday Tip: 1 point Gerwyn Price to win -2.5 legs @ 2.00 generally available
Peter Wright vs. Leon Weber
Weber beat Ryan Joyce 6-3 yesterday and was full value for the win. Joyce outscored him, but Weber did the right thing at the right time and was 67% on the doubles, which was a rare sight yesterday. He has won five of his last ten matches and has hit a couple of ton plus averages and four sub 90s. Consistency is not his thing yet.
Peter Wright is unlikely to get put out of his stride by the home crowd, but what stride will he be putting in? He has lost six of his last ten matches and he has hit three sub 90s.
I expect Weber to struggle to repeat his performance of yesterday but if he did, he could land the spoils.
Wright is the 1.36 favourite, Weber 3.50. There will be better opportunities. No bet.
2025 European Darts GP Saturday Tip: No bet
Michael van Gerwen vs. Dirk van Duijvenbode
Dirk had a nice run out against a poor William O’Connor, winning 6-2 and hardly breaking sweat. He has won seven of his last ten matches and hit five ton plus averages.
MVG has won eight of his last ten matches and he hasn’t had any easy matches. He may not be at his very best, but he is playing well. He won ET4 and was a semi-finalist in ET2.
Their H2H record is 12-2 to MVG, he is 2-0 in 2025 and 2-0 on the Euro Tour.
MVG is the 1.67 favourite with Dirk 2.35.
2025 European Darts GP Saturday Tip: 1 point MVG to win @ 1.67 with BET365
Luke Humphries vs. Conor Scutt
Scutt beat his practice partner, Ritchie Edhouse, 6-2. It was a poor match with Edhouse missing fifteen doubles and handing Scutt the win on a plate. Scutt only averaged 87.9.
Humphries has lost five of his last ten matches but he has hit six ton plus averages and he doesn’t have many off days. Scutt will need him to if he is to have a sniff of a chance.
Their H2H record is 4-0 to Humphries, but Scutt has lost 5-6 and 4-6 in their last two matches, having been thumped 6-1 and 6-0 in the first two.
Humphries is the 1.44 favourite, Scutt 3.00.
2025 European Darts GP Saturday Tip: 2 points Humphries to win -1.5 legs @ 1.73 with Betfred
Josh Rock vs. Martin Schindler
A re-run of last weekend’s semi-final which Schindler won 7-6 in a scrappy affair. Schindler has won eight of his last ten matches and got underway with a 6-3 win over Callan Rydz last night. The German loves the Euro Tour and the German fans love him.
Josh Rock might be getting a bit frustrated, losing back to back semi-finals on the Euro Tour. He has won seven of his last ten matches and he is playing better than Schindler, but he does throw in some poor efforts, as he did last Sunday.
Their H2H record is 3-3. Last Sunday’s 7-6 was their only close match. Their other five have been very one sided affairs. 6-1, 6-2, 7-3,7-2 and 6-1. Strange.
Rock is the 1.62 favourite, Schindler 2.40. Schindler’s odds look a touch generous, especially as he will have the crowd with him, but Rock is playing better darts. Could it be time for him to get a bit of revenge for last week’s defeat in what was their third Euro Tour semi-final.
I will take a chance on them returning to type and having another one sided match.
2025 European Darts GP Saturday Tip: 1 point under 9.5 legs @ 1.85 with Livescorebet
Stephen Bunting vs. Cameron Menzies
This is a tricky one. Menzies’ form looks to have dropped in recent weeks. He has won seven of his last ten matches but there have been four sub 90 averages and too many ordinary performances.
Bunting has lost five of his last ten matches but he is not doing much wrong and hitting a lot of big averages.
Their H2H record is 5-3 to Menzies and Bunting’s nervy 6-4 win in ET3 ended a run of five straight wins for Menzies.
Bunting is the 1.57 favourite, Menzies 2.63. There may be some value in Menzies’ odds, but Bunting deserves to be favourite. No bet.
