2026 Belgian Darts Open Sunday Preview

James Punt kept things ticking over last night, the highlight a 6-3 win for Jonny Clayton who landed our -2.5l bet. Check out his 2026 Belgian Darts Open Sunday evening preview and tips below.

Saturday Reflections

Round two produced a profit of +7.15 points and the tournament bets are now +7.26. We lost 3.00 on the outrights and have one final session to try and add a bit of gloss to the situation.

Luke Littler vs. Neils Zonneveld

The first point of interest here is that Luke Littler is first on. He hates playing early, and this is as early as it can be. Is Zonneveld good enough to take advantage of any drop in form from Littler?

Zonneveld reached the semi-final last weekend and has won seven of his last ten matches. Confidence is high and he has never had the experience of playing Littler, usually a negative experience for most players.

I am happy to have a go with Zonneveld, just in case Littler’s head is still on the metaphorical pillow. The Dutchman is the 6.50 outsider but getting a big +3.5 leg handicap, is 1.73.

2026 Belgian Darts Open Sunday Tip: 1 point Neils Zonneveld to win +3.5 legs @ 1.73 with Ladbrokes

Danny Noppert vs. Ryan Searle

Noppert was excellent in his 6-3 win over Luke Woodhouse yesterday. He averaged 106.17 and beat a very strong Woodhouse, who averaged 102.66. Ryan Searle was a bit lucky to get the better of Ricky Evans and a big checkout got him over the lie with a 6-5 win. It was only a 91.61 average and he is going to have do a lot better than that if he is to make any impression on Noppert.

Searle is not in great form and went out at this stage last week, a 3-6 loss to Dutch journeyman Richard Veenstra. He now faces one of the Netherlands top players.

Their H2H record is 7-2 to Noppert and five of their six best of eleven leg matches have been over 9.5 legs. Noppert is the 1.62 favourite, Searle 2.38.

2026 Belgian Darts Open Sunday Tip: 1 point over 9.5 legs @ 2.00 with Boylesports
2026 Belgian Darts Open Sunday Tip: 0.5 point Noppert to win 6-4 @ 6.50 with Skybet, Betfair

Jonny Clayton vs. Ross Smith

It was a solid performance by Clayton to beat Bialecki 6-3 last night. A 98.18 average and he was never in any bother. Clayton is looking to make his fifth quarter final in a row here, and The Ferret is a player who plays better anywhere he has enjoyed success before.

Smudger was not impressive in his 6-4 win over Menzies yesterday. He has won seven of his last ten matches and his form looks to have dropped off a little, but it hasn’t fallen off a cliff.

Clayton is 9-4 against Smith, and 2-0 on the Euro Tour. Smith has lost his last six third round matches on the Euro Tour. Jonny Clayton is the 1.80 favourite and that is good enough for me.

2026 Belgian Darts Open Sunday Tip: 1 point Jonny Clayton to win @ 1.80 with Hills

Andy Baetens vs. Martin Schindler

Baetens needed the help of a few whistlers to beat Stephen Bunting 6-5 in a low quality match. The myth of the very fair crowd was busted. I think we can just say that the Saturday night crowds on the Euro Tour are just full of pissheads who like to try and influence the results, and the PDC won’t address the problem.

Schindler was better on the doubles and that was enough to beat William O’Connor 6-3. He has won five of his last ten matches and he is playing OK. Baetens has won nine of his last ten, but most were in the qualifying event for this.

Schindler is the 1.57 favourite, Baetens 2.50, and this match makes no appeal betting wise.

2026 Belgian Darts Open Sunday Tip: No Bet

Luke Humphries vs. Jermaine Wattimena

Humphries beat Dirk van Duijvenbode 6-4 last night. It was a strange match. Dirk seemed to throw in the towel very quickly and went 0-4 down but rallied to make it 4-5. Humphries eventually got it over the line with a 100 average and more importantly, was 50% on the doubles. He has won six of his last ten matches and hit six ton plus averages. If the doubles are hit, he wins.

Wattimena had an easy 6-3 win over Ryan Meikle. It was a 94.64 average and he has won five of his last ten matches. He is playing OK, but not his best. Wattimena has gone out at this stage in the first two Euro Tour events of the year.

Their H2H record is surprisingly close, 6-5 to Humphries and Wattimena has won their last two. Humphries is the 1.30 favourite, Wattimena 4.20. I expect Humphries to win, probably quite easily, but the jury is still out when it comes to his doubling.

I want to see a sustained period of ‘normal’ doubling, before backing him as such a short priced favourite. No bet.

2026 Belgian Darts Open Sunday Tip: No Bet

Kim Huybrechts vs. Chris Dobey

Huybrechts only averaged 87.32 in a 6-4 win over Josh Rock. It was a good start from Rock but he just lost the plot and bottled it in the end. Maybe the PL nightmares are crossing over into the day job.

Huybrechts has won his last eight matches, six of them qualifiers, and hit three ton plus averages. He can be very good, but in the last seven years he has played seven third round matches and won one.

Chris Dobey has reached four Euro Tour semi-finals since 2024. In that time, he has played 13 third round matches and won 7. He really isn’t officer material. He has won six of his last ten matches and is playing well but still losing too many matches.

Dobey was very ordinary in his 6-3 win over Chisnall yesterday, as he was when losing at this stage to Josh Rock last weekend.

Their H2H record is 8-3 to Dobey and he has won their last three, covering a -1.5 leg handicap in each. Most of their form is very old, but the last three were played in 2024 and 2025.

Dobey is the 1.44 favourite and he should win, but he is flaky and loses a lot of matches he should win, but this is a good chance to make the quarters.

2026 Belgian Darts Open Sunday Tip: 1 point Chris Dobey to win -1.5 legs @ 1.80 with Boylesports

Daryl Gurney vs. Michael Van Gerwen

Birthday Boy Daryl Gurney is the 3.70 outsider, with MVG 1.40 to be a party pooper. These two have had some really good matches and Gurney is one of the few players to have beaten MVG in a Major Final.

Van Gerwen has lost seven of his last ten matches, despite scoring well. He lacks confidence these days and he is beatable.

Gurney played six third round matches last year and won two. Gurney has won seven of his last ten matches, but hasn’t been playing as well as MVG, apart from this weekend. Averages of 97.88 and 98.40 are way above his 12-month average, so he is enjoying his birthday weekend.

Their H2H record is 28-12 to MVG but over their last ten, it is 5-5. At the odds, I am happy to have a go with Gurney.

2026 Belgian Darts Open Sunday Tip: 1 point Daryl Gurney to win @ 3.45 with Livescorebet

Cristo Reyes vs. Ryan Joyce

Joyce has had an easy ride to the third round. Two opponents averaging under 90 is meat and drink, even to a Joyce B game.

Reyes has averaged 102.13 and 95.93 in his two wins. It is likely that Joyce will have to up his game today. Reyes is not a consistent player and there is no guarantee that he continues at the same level. On the other hand, Joyce has lost six of his last ten and is not playing well.

Reyes should win, backing him is not without risk, but the odds are acceptable given Joyce’s recent form.

2026 Belgian Darts Open Sunday Tip: 1 point Cristo Reyes to win @ 1.80 with Ladbrokes
