2026 German Darts GP R3 Preview

After an evening that produced some shock results, we move onto the final day of action in Germany. Check out his 2026 German Darts GP R3 preview and tips below.

R2 Reflections

It was a mixed bag of results yesterday. A -1.42 point loss on round 2 bets overall, but sadly we lost three outright bets. Out went MVG and Luke Woodhouse, joining first round exit, Wessel Nijman on the scrap heap.

That means our outright hopes are pinned to Niels Zonneveld, who plays Josh Rock later. That means, with all things totted up, we are -1.86 points down. One more session to try to recover the situation, and to see if Zonneveld can go one step better than his back-to-back semi-finals.

Danny Noppert vs. Karel Sedlack

Noppert survived a comeback from Ritchie Edhouse yesterday, winning 6-5. He has won seven of his last ten matches and yesterday’s performance was better than in recent matches.

Sedlacek heaped more Euro Tour misery on Damon Heta, beating the Aussie 6-2 with a very decent performance. Sedlacek came into this on the back of five straight defeats, so he will be feeling much happier. Evil Charlie has played a total of five Euro Tour third round matches and won three. Noppert has played forty-two and won twenty five.

Their H2H record is 3-2 to Noppert and on the Euro Tour 1-1. It is a year and a day since they last played, with Sedlacek winning 6-4 in ET3.

Noppert is the better player, but Sedlacek is no mug and he can give Noppert a game. He is worth a small bet.

Jonny Clayton vs. Kim Huybrechts

Huybrechts keeps on winning, now with nine on the bounce. He gave Woodhouse a thrashing last night, with a 6-1 win and a 100.26 average.

Clayton only just managed to win the Ferret vs. Otter match up, beating the unknown German 6-5. He has won five of his last ten matches and is one of just six seeds remaining after the bloodbath on Sunday.

Clayton is 8-3 against Huybrechts, with the Belgian winning their last match back in 2024. Clayton had only won one second round match here before last night’s squeaker.

I have to give the form player my backing.

Krzysztof Ratajski vs. Ross Smith

The Polish Eagle beat Ryan Searle 6-5 yesterday and hit a 99.85 average. I expect him to ne hard to beat, as usual. He reached the quarter final here last year and will be eyeing up another good run.

Ross Smith had an easy task to beat Patrik Kovacs. It was a perfunctory 6-2 win and not much of a guide. Smith has had a problem with his Euro Tour third-round matches, losing his last seven.

Their H2H record is 5-4 to Smith, but in 2025 it was 3-1 to Ratajski. He won their only Euro Tour match 6-3 back in 2019. The market can’ t split them but given Smith’s third round struggles, I will give the nod to Ratajski.

2026 German Darts GP R3 Tip: 1 point Krzysztof Ratajski to win @ 1.91 generally available

Niko Springer vs. Michael Smith

This match wasn’t on many people’s bingo card. Springer gave MVG a 6-1 spanking last night, while Smith lumbered to a 6-5 win over Chisnall in an underwhelming match. Springer averaged 98.34 last night but while he has won six of his last ten matches, he hasn’t been playing that well. Has he turned a corner?

Smith has won seven of his last ten matches but isn’t scoring well, hitting six sub 90 averages. Springer is 2-1 against Smith, winning both of their matches in 2025, 6-3.

2026 German Darts GP R3 Tip: 1 point Niko Springer to win @ 1.80 generally available

Josh Rock vs. Niels Zonneveld

Zonneveld beat Wattimena 6-1 yesterday to continue his run of good form. As our last remaining outright selection I am not going to get involved in this match. Their H2H record is 2-2 and Zonneveld has beaten Rock 6-4 already in 2026. Hopefully, he can do so again.

2026 German Darts GP R3 Tip: No Bet

Kevin Doets vs. Dirk van Duijvenbode

Both players won their second-round matches 6-5 yesterday. Doets beat Wade, Dirk beat De Decker. Both played well but maybe Dirk was luckier to get through.

Doets has only played three Euro Tour third round matches and lost all three, but he is playing well right now and looks ready to make more progress. Dirk is famously flaky and with all the big names now absent, his mind might already be wandering ahead of himself.

Their H2H record is 2-2 and when they played in February, Doets won 6-5. Doets is the 1.88 favourite and gets my vote.

2026 German Darts GP R3 Tip: 1 point Kevin Doets to win @ 1.88 with Livescorebet

Nathan Aspinall vs. Martin Schindler

Aspinall was by far the better player in his match with Pietreczko last night, but only just got over the line with a 6-5 win. It was a 99.50 average and a much better performance than we have seen from him recently, and was just his fourth win from his last ten matches.

Schindler is another player who has been struggling with his game and he was pretty poor in a 6-4 win over an out of form Brendan Dolan. Schindler is really struggling to keep his darts in the right bed and he has done well to get this far, but I suspect his luck runs out here.

2026 German Darts GP R3 Tip: 1 point Nathan Aspinall to win -1.5 legs @ 1.88 with Unibet

William O’Connor vs. Andrew Gilding

O’Connor beat an out of sorts Gian van Veen 6-2 last night. It was an 89 average from the Irishman and that is rarely good enough to win at this level, never mind to beat Van Veen.

Gilding pulled off his own giant killing performance by beating Nijman in round one and followed that up with a 6-5 win over Daryl Gurney yesterday. Gurney missed a hatful of doubles and didn’t take his chances.

Their H2H record is 6-6, so at least O’Connor knows what to expect with Captain Weird. These two played twice on the Euro Tour last year with one win each.

I don’t really like betting on O’Connor’s as he does tend to beat himself up and throw in the towel too easily. Gilding is a 2.18 shot and looks the value bet to me.

2026 German Darts GP R3 Tip: 1 point Andrew Gilding to win @ 2.18 with Livescorebet
