2026 Slovak Darts Open R2 Preview & Tips – JP
2026 Slovak Darts Open R2 Preview
R1 produced a profit of 3.38 points. Hopefully something similar with today’s second round matches. Check out his 2026 Slovak Darts Open R2 evening session preview below.
Mike de Decker vs. William O’Connor
O’Connor added another first round win to his record after beating Jeffrey de Graaf 6-3. It wasn’t a great game but it means that O’Connor has won seven of his last ten matches and is playing well on the whole. His second-round record on the Euro Tour in 2026 isn’t great, having played six and lost four. However, he is the 1.80 favourite to win this.
Mike de Decker has been in poor form for a long time now. His seasonal win rate is just 40% and he has lost six of his last ten matches. De Decker has now lost his last ten second round matches, with his last win coming in September 2025.
Their H2H record is 5-3 to O’Connor but they haven’t played since September 2024. Five of their seven best of eleven leg matches have been over 9.5 legs.
De Decker isn’t playing complete rubbish and is having one good performance, following by a bad one. There is a 50% chance that O’Connor runs into a good one. This could be a nervy affair.
2026 Slovak Darts Open R2 Tip: 1 point over 9.5 legs @ 2.10 with Betfair
Damon Heta vs. Kevin Doets
Doets averaged 102.49 in a 6-3 win over Owen Bates yesterday. He has won six of his last ten matches and is playing better than Heta.
The Aussie has lost five of his last ten matches, four of them in deciding legs. He has been lacking in confidence for some time now. Heta is 5-4 vs. Doets and won their only match this year, 6-3, in a Euro Tour match in March.
Doets is the 1.55 favourite, Heta 2.63. The odds look about right. No bet.
2026 Slovak Darts Open R2 Tip: No Bet
Wessel Nijman vs. Benjamin Pratnemer
Pratnemer got a surprise win over a very poor Justin Hood yesterday. It was a low quality match and Pratnemer isn’t going to get lucky twice in a row, especially against one of the winningmost players in the game. He is a tour card holder and rarely gets steamrollered, but he is right up against here.
Nijman is the 1.20 favourite and even at such short odds he is a touch of value, but it is a no bet for me.
2026 Slovak Darts Open R2 Tip: No Bet
Danny Noppert vs. Madars Razma
Razma was a nice winner for us last night when he beat Dirk van Duijvenbode 6-4. It was a typical Razma performance, no great scoring, but exceptional timing. He had Dirk in trouble early on and just kept him at arm’s length. Razma isn’t in great form, losing six of his last ten matches. Their H2H record is 6-4 to Noppert.
The normally ultra consistent Noppert hasn’t been at his best lately, losing five of his last ten matches. He has lost his last two second round matches on the Euro Tour, but it would be overdoing it to say he was in a crisis.
These two met on the Euro Tour last April and Razma won 6-2. Noppert is 2-1 vs. Razma on the Euro Tour overall and he is the 1.50 favourite, with Razma 2.70.
Noppert is 6-4 vs Razma but with a +1.5 leg handicap, Razma would be 7-3.
2026 Slovak Darts Open R2 Tip: 1 point Madars Razma to win +1.5 legs @ 2.00 with Boylesports
Jermanie Wattimena vs. Dave Chisnall
Chisnall kept his hopes of qualifying for the Matchplay alive by beating Adrián Dudek 6-5. It was a torturous win and he now will have to win just his second 2nd round match in 2026, and probably two more, to make the Matchplay.
Wattimena is not in good form, losing six of his last ten, but he is 5-3 in Euro Tour second round matches. Chisnall is 6-2 in their H2Hs, but they haven’t met since 2024 and Chisnall has regressed a lot since then.
Wattimena is the 1.50 favourite, Chizzy 2.95. Chisnall did make the quarter final in the last Euro Tour event and he is fighting for his darting career. Wattimena is blowing hot and cold and you cannot be sure what you are going to get with him.
It is a dodgy looking match between two dodgy players. No bet.
2026 Slovak Darts Open R2 Tip: No Bet
Chris Dobey vs. Tyler Thorpe
Tyler Thorpe was a very impressive 6-2 winner over Karel Sedlacek in round 1, averaging 103.30. That was his first Euro Tour win and the big question is, can he back it up? At pro tour level, Thorpe has played 34 matches in 2026 and lost 23. That suggests that he is likely to struggle.
Chris Dobey averages nearly 10 points more than Thorpe overall, but he is a lesser player on stage. On the Euro Tour he has played fourteen matches and lost seven, including his last three second round matches. He did average over 96 in all three and if he can repeat that sort of performance, it should be good enough.
Dobey is the 1.30 favourite but this makes little appeal as a betting opportunity. No bet.
2026 Slovak Darts Open R2 Tip: No Bet
Ryan Searle vs. Kim Huybrechts
Searle is back in good form, winning eight of his last ten matches and reaching two recent finals, including in ET7 last month and at PC21 last Tuesday.
Kim Huybrechts is still trying to qualify for the Matchplay, but now needs a semi-final minimum, and maybe more. He beat Keane Barry 6-4, and he was the better player, averaging 95.75. He is not as consistent as Searle, losing five of his last ten matches.
Their H2H record is 4-3 to Huybrechts, but Searle won their last match, which was in last month’s ET7. That was a 6-1 thrashing and Kim was useless on the doubles that day.
Searle is the 1.70 favourite and Huybrechts 2.35. Maybe two or three weeks ago I would have been all over Huybrechts at those odds, but he has dropped his form a bit, while Searle has found his game again.
2026 Slovak Darts Open R2 Tip: 1 point Ryan Searle to win -1.5 legs @ 2.10 with BET365, Betfair
Luke Woodhouse vs. Andrew Gilding
Woodhouse was on my outright shortlist as he has recently won two titles. One on the pro tour and the other on the Euro Tour. He waited years for a win to come along, and two came almost at the same time. He has won six of his last ten matches but it has to be said that there have been some poor performances in those ten.
Gilding ground out a 6-4 win over Merv King, a result that was never in doubt, of course. Goldfinger has won seven of his last ten matches but lost three of his five second round matches in 2026, including a 3-6 loss to Woodhouse three weeks ago in ET8, which Woodhouse went on to win.
That was his third win in a row against Gilding. He also beat Gilding 8-4 to win PC18 a few days before and that was to win his first ever PDC title. He has very happy recent memories of playing Gilding.
Woodhouse is the 1.67 favourite, Gilding 2.38. I’ll take Woodhouse on the handicap.
