2026 Dutch Darts Championship Saturday Preview
James Punt landed a few more winners this afternoon. Check out his 2026 Dutch Darts Championship Saturday preview and tips below.
Gerwyn Price vs. Scott Williams
There might be a bit of testosterone flying about the stage tonight. Two Alphas giving it large in the opening match.
Williams beat Niko Springer 6-5 last night, averaging 96.23. He has now won ten of his last eleven matches, and his only defeat was a 7-8 loss in the final of PC30.
Gerwyn Price is in good form himself, winning eight of his last ten matches and reached back-to-back finals, losing both.
Their H2H record is 3-1 to Price. He beat Williams three times in 2023, but Williams won 6-5 in their last match, which was last year.
Price is the better player, but Williams is a different beast on a stage, with a big crowd. Price is the 1.30 favourite, Williams 3.60. We are on Price outright and I am happy to sit this one out and hope for the best. No Bet.
2026 Dutch Darts Championship Saturday Tip: No Bet
Jermaine Wattimena vs. Jimmy van Schie
The home fans will get a Dutch winner here, but which one? Van Schie beat Kim Huybrechts 6-5 yesterday. It was an OK performance and he has won seven of his last ten matches. He doesn’t have a lot of Euro Tour experience, but he has now played five matches and won four.
Wattimena has won six of his last four matches and is playing quite well, just lacking some consistency. He reached a semi-final and quarter final on the floor last month, but he was beaten at this stage last weekend by Michael Smith, but it was a very good version of Bully Boy.
These two have played each other in competition four times, and Schie won them all. They were short format matches in the Dutch Oranjebar tournament.
Wattimena is the 1.57 favourite, Van Schie 2.63. I can’t back Wattimena at those odds, but I really don’t know Schie’s game well enough to back him to do the job. No bet.
2026 Dutch Darts Championship Saturday Tip: No Bet
Stephen Bunting vs. Cameron Menzies
If Bunting wins this, he is in the European Championships, and Huybrechts is out. Bunting has lost seven of his last ten matches, won just one of his last five, and on the Euro Tour he has also lost seven of his last ten.
Menzies got off the mark with a 6-1 win over Nick Kenny last night. Kenny was dreadful, averaging 78.78. Menzies was less dreadful and that is all I can say about it. He has won seven of his last ten matches, but since winning PC29 last month, he has played four and lost three. He is a very hard player to predict.
Their H2H record is a surprising 7-3 to Menzies, and he has won seven of their last eight, three of them, including the last two, 6-2.
Bunting has been made the 1.73 favourite, and I am struggling to see why? Is he a player known to be great under pressure? No. Is he in great form? No. Does he have a good record vs. Menzies? Definitely not.
2026 Dutch Darts Championship Saturday Tip: 1 point Cameron Menzies to win @ 2.20 with Betfred

Gian van Veen vs. Sebastian Bialecki
Bialecki is scrapping for his place at the European Championships. He has got a tough match to do it with. A win, and he is in, but win he must.
He has played van Veen eleven times and won six of them. They have played twice at senior level, and Bialecki won both, the last a Players Championship semi-final in July. The other was a Players Championship quarter final last year. Two wins, 6-4 and 7-4 for the underrated Pole.
He has won six of his last ten matches and he managed a 6-4 win over Daryl Gurney last night, but he let a 5-1 lead slip to 5-4 before he finally got over the line. The crowd were very much on Gurney’s side, so god knows what it will be like vs. Van Veen.
Van Veen has won seven of his last ten matches and while he has started to look a bit more like his former self, he is not playing his best stuff. He has won his last four second round matches, two of them 6-0 and two 6-3.
It is time Van Veen got his first senior win over Bialecki at senior level. He is the 1.50 favourite, Bialecki 2.80.

Michael van Gerwen vs. William O’Connor
O’Connor had an easy 6-2 win over Richard Veenstra in round one, but watching his body language, you would have thought he was losing. He really needs a slap, just to get him out his negative mindset.
He has won six of his last ten matches and he has been playing OK. However, O’Connor rarely needs a hotel room on a Saturday night. He has played eleven second round matches in 2026 and lost eight.
MVG is in poor form, losing six of his last ten matches. On the Euro Tour he has won eight from twelve second round matches, but he has lost his last two. He is there for the taking, but he is on home turf, and he does know how to use a home crowd.
Their H2H record is 16-3 to MVG. O’Connor last beat Van Gerwen in 2018.
2026 Dutch Darts Championship Saturday Tip: 1 point MVG to win -1.5 @ 2.02 with Livescorebet
Jonny Clayton vs. Damon Heta
Jonny Clayton is in great form and won last weekend’s Swiss Darts Trophy. He has won eight of his last ten matches and will be very hard to beat.
Heta has won five of his last ten matches and beat a local qualifier 6-4 last night. It was an OK performance but he will need to play better tonight.
Their H2H record is 10-8 to Clayton and he has won five of their last six. In their nine, best of eleven leg matches, Clayton has covered a -1.5 leg handicap seven times.
2026 Dutch Darts Championship Saturday Tip: 1 point Jonny Clayton to win -1.5 legs @ 1.97 with Livescorebet
Nathan Aspinall vs. Michael Smith
Aspinall has not played in the last two weeks as he keeps to his light schedule routine. He has won seven of his last ten matches and has played some really good darts, but with a little too much inconsistency.
Smith beat Stephen Burton 6-5 last night, meaning we didn’t get the full eight from eight bets. Burton was supposed to roll over, but he didn’t read the script, and Smith wasn’t great, averaging 88.89. He needs to be better tonight.
Their H2H record is 17-11 to Smith, and he has won their last five in a row. They haven’t played for a year now, and Smith has dropped in form recently.
Aspinall is the 1.33 favourite, Smith 3.80. I am almost tempted by the odds on Smith, but I’ll give this a miss.
2026 Dutch Darts Championship Saturday Tip: No Bet
Chris Dobey vs. Cristo Reyes
Reyes can relax. He is a confirmed European Championship finalist and he is just playing for the cash here. Reyes has won seven of his last ten matches and was in good form against Kciuk last night, winning 6-2 with a 95.80 average.
Dobey has won six of his last ten matches, but lost his last three in a row, including a second round loss to Bradley Brooks last weekend. Dobey averaged 83.68 in that one. Dobey has played thirteen second round matches in 2026 and won seven, but only three of his last nine.
Their H2H record is 4-2 to Dobey and he is 2-0 in 2026, both floor matches, which is Dobey’s favoured playing environment. A shift to the stage may well improve Reyes chances.
Dobey is the 1.80 favourite, Reyes 2.10. The odds look about right. I will have a go with an overs bet here. They are both good enough to take legs off each other and it could go to wire.
