Switzerland vs Germany Match Preview

Both teams have already qualified for the last 16 and a win or draw for Germany would see them top the group. Switzerland are guaranteed at least second spot. For me, I believe finishing second in the group is better than winning the group.

The Winner of Group A (probably Germany) play the runners up of Group C (Probably Denmark or England) then in the QF they are likely to meet Spain.

Runners Up in Group A (probably Switzerland) play (probably Italy) then (probably England or Denmark).

Both teams will play squad players and rest a few big names so team news is a complete guess at this time. A crazy match with both teams happy to lose, hopefully it will be an entertaining spectacle. As I don’t believe Switzerland can win the tournament, beating Germany won’t rank as a great achievement.

This is an Interesting matchup. A Scotland win has a good chance of helping them to qualify as a third placed team, although their goal difference could knock them out. If it is a draw, then both teams are out. If Hungary win they will only have 3 points and are unlikely to be a best third placed team but they are not completely out.

So, we know the scenarios and both teams have had matches against Germany and Switzerland, so we can take a look at the stats to see who has performed best.

I was hoping reading the stats would give us a better insight into who we should back, but it doesn’t give us much. Both teams will be going for the win and both have trouble defending. I really can’t disagree with the bookmakers line, so I will put up a couple of small bets that should give us an interest throughout the match.
