Albania vs Spain Match Preview

Before you jump to the obvious conclusion and back Spain to win easily, a few things to note:

1. Spain have already topped the Group.
2. The Spanish will play a complete “B” team.
3. Spain don’t really have too many issues about this match.
4. This will be Albania’s biggest ever match.
5. A win for Albania would probably take them through to the Last 16.

I have no doubt Spain will play a “B” Team and rest their first eleven. I still think Spain’s B Team are better than Albania’s A Team, but the odds should be much closer and with the lack of incentive of the Spanish and a stadium full of Albanians, it is worth backing Albania at a big price.

Albania have put in two very good performances against Italy and Croatia and gaining that crucial point against Croatia gives them a chance of pulling off a major shock and getting out of this group.

Croatia vs Italy Match Preview

Croatia came into this tournament as live outsiders but so far have been demolished 3-0 by Spain and dropped 2 points to an injury time equaliser from lowly Albania.

They can still qualify for the Last 16 but they MUST WIN vs Italy. My Ratings have Italy 0.15 Favourites which is about equal to the Asian Line.

Italy just need one point from this match to finish second in the Group but will have to play to win the match as sitting back could be suicidal. The goal line could be anything, Croatia’s games have had lots of goals but Italy play a more cautious approach.

So now for the tricky part, who will prevail? I’m going for a Croatia win in a game that should produce goals.
