Spain vs France Match Preview

Spain have been the best team in the tournament so far, but due to a lack of goals the margins of victory have not been wide. On what we have watched so far, I believe everyone would fancy Spain over France and it would not be a difficult decision.

Unfortunately, Spain are missing 3 good players, (Pedri, Carvajal, Le Normand). Although Spain do have strength in depth, it will make this match a tougher prospect.

France, by their usual high standards, have been terrible. Their top tournament scorer remains the clinical ‘Own Goal’, with 2 out of their 3 goals coming by way of their opponents.

Superstar striker Kylian Mbappe continues to underperform in a mask for his broken nose. Griezmann has been dreadful and he looks like being dropped for the more impressive Dembele. It is really hard to know how a team that can’t score goals is going to reach the Final.

Expect another low scoring match with chances at a minimum. Logically, I would slightly favour a Spain side on what we have seen so far in the tournament but a draw would come as no surprise either.
