Netherlands vs England Match Preview
The Netherlands don’t seem to have trouble in scoring and they have fired in 9 goals so far. Against Turkey, I felt they controlled the first 30 minutes and then switched off. Turkey came into the match and became the better team for the last 20 minutes and this will be a concern for them. My ratings have them as a better team than England, so that’s a positive for The Dutch bettors.
My ratings had England 1.20 Switzerland 1.23 after 120 minutes play, so it was fine lines and 5 very good penalties saw England through to the Semi Finals. England had a reasonable first half against the Swiss but after half time to 70 minutes the Swiss were all over England. As usual, England only woke up when they went 1-0 down.
This is a hard result to call and one that could easily go to Extra Time and even Penalties. I usually follow my ratings as gospel so I’m just about favouring the Dutch, but I’ll also have a bet on the draw.
