Romania vs Ukraine Match Preview

Looking at Romania’s last game, a poor 0-0 scoreless draw at home to minnows Liechtenstein, on ratings it was a match where I had them 2.90 goal favourites.

Trying to look on the positive side, it was just the lack of goals that was poor. Shots were 27-1 for Romania with 15-0 on target and Romania had 71% possession.

Romania come into this match on the back of 4 poor results. On the other hand, Ukraine will be inspired by trouncing Moldova 4-0 and a recent visit to Germany where they came away with a 0-0 draw.

The form Lines point to a Ukrainian win, my Ratings have Ukraine to win by 1.15 goals, so everything points to an Ukraine victory.

Belgium vs Slovakia Match Preview

Belgium’s last 5 Results have all been good, comfortably beating the minnow teams and they also got a good draw in England. Although the ‘Golden Era’ underachieving team has now gone, the new crop should be good enough to reach the Last 16 comfortably. 

Slovakia are also in a purple patch with a good win against Wales and a good draw in Norway. My International Ratings have Belgium 1.20 goal favourites. Club sides’ ratings have Belgium by 2.05.

With the Goal Line set at 2.75 the line makers are expecting a few goals, so should be an open game.

Austria vs France Match Preview

This is an interesting matchup. Austria have the better set of recent results and this shouldn’t be overlooked.

Long term form and class will always pitch France in as favourites, but there could possibly be an upset on the cards. All of Austria’s last 5 results have been solid, whereas the French drew with Canada, barely won 3-2 at home to Chile and lost to Germany at home. That isn’t great form.

So, I am drawing you all to the conclusion that we have to find a positive bet supporting Austria. There are a few options, back Austria at 7.00, back the Draw at 4.80 or you could go for more safety and back Austria on the handicap at 2.84, all viable options.

For Asian Handicap bettors, Austria +1 at 2.03 looks good.
