Friday Afternoon German Darts Open Tips
James has already posted his outright preview, check it out here. He has three bets for the first session of the weekend. Friday afternoon German Darts Open tips are below.
Jamie Hughes vs. Daniel Larsson
Yozza had hit some good form before the summer break, and if he has been able to keep that intact, and we saw last week that many hadn’t, he should pick up his first ET win of the year. He has won seven of his last ten and was looking more like the player who won the Czech Open in 2019. He needs to win a few matches if he is to make the European Championship finals, as does Larsson.
Daniel Larsson played last week and lost 1-6 to Dave Chisnall. He lost his previous ET match 1-6 to Simon Whitlock, but he has picked up two ET wins this season.
Larsson is an experienced player and settles quickly so Jamie will need to start well, but he should be able to make the second round.

Karel Sedlacek vs. Jim Williams
Evil Charlie is safely into the finals, and he picked up another couple of wins last week, beating Tricole and Searle before taking four legs off Nathan Aspinall. Three more solid performances for the confident Czech.
Jim Williams also won two matches last week. He was pretty poor when beating Brett Claydon 6-5, surviving match darts against him. He then played very well to beat Peter Wright 6-5, before going down to Joe Cullen in a poor match. Two sub 90 averages and 98.7, which Williams will we get this afternoon?
Sedlacek has been good for us on the Euro Tour, and this is another match he can win. Williams’ A game is probably better, but Sedlacek is a steady player who doesn’t seem to do pressure. He just plays his game and if it is good enough, he wins. Williams is less predictable, and the value is with Sedlacek.

Jeff Smith vs. Dragutin Horvat
Horvat has played four ET matches in 2022 and lost the lot, winning just seven legs. Smith is the better and more experienced player, but he has struggled with being based in Canada and playing in Europe. There is more pressure to just win enough money to pay for flights and so on.
He lost his first round match against Rusty-Jake Rodriguez last weekend but hopefully after a week back in Europe he will be fresher and ready to go from the start. He is against a home player, but there is no better time to play a local than on a Friday afternoon.
