NFL TNF Week 17 Preview and Betting Picks

Another edition of Thursday Night Football and the hunt for playoff football is hotting up. Tonight’s matchup sees the Dallas Cowboys (11-4) take on the Tennessee Titans (7-8) in Nissan Stadium, Nashville. The Cowboys have already clinched their spot in the postseason, but the Titans know this is a must win match if they are to keep their slim playoff dreams alive. Jan Keys Line: Dallas -8.5 points vs Las Vegas Line: Dallas -10.5 points

It has been a really dreadful run for Mike Vrabel and the Tennessee Titans. They have managed to somehow lose their last 5 matches in a row and from being in pole position for the playoffs, they now find themselves on the bubble and relying on other results. They lost to the Houston Texans last weekend, a team that had only won one game before that this season. Morale will be on the floor in the Titans locker room.

Mike McCarthy’s Dallas Cowboys, on the other hand, are in great form. They edged out the high flying Eagles (13-2) in an entertaining clash last weekend, their fifth win in six matches. It is hard to see anything other than a Cowboys win here, however the line looks a bit too high at 10.5 points for an away team so we won’t be having a bet on that market.

I quite like the Overs on the Total Points at 40.0. My computer rating is 45.7 points, a fair difference. There has been over 45 points in each of the Cowboys last five matches, hopefully it’s another shootout tonight.
