Sunday Night Baltic Sea Darts Open Tips
We are down to our last man standing from James Punt’s outright preview. Price and Cullen both crashed out this afternoon but 21.00 shot Dirk Van Duijvenbode has made the quarter finals. James has one last preview for this event. Check out his Sunday Night Baltic Sea Darts Open tips below.
Luke Humphries vs. Dirk van Duijvenbode
This should be a 180 fest. Both players hit seven in their respective 3rd round matches. Dirk is ranked 1st for 180s per leg and Humphries 8th. However, the way things are going for me on the 180 bets, they will come up one shy.
Luke Humphries beat Dimitri van den Bergh 6-3, averaging 94 thanks to some pretty ropey doubling. 25% checkout rate and 19 doubles missed will usually be punished but Van den Bergh was off the boil.
Van Duijvenbode beat Michael Smith 6-3 and with Smith averaging 99.2. The wrist injury wasn’t really a factor. Dirk averaged 100 and was better on the doubles and it was a fairly comfortable win in the end.
Their H2H record is 3-2 to Humphries, but Van Duijvenbode won their last two.
Recent Winning Form
This time last weekend, Dirk won PC4 so his recent form is excellent with nine wins from his last ten matches. He is scoring well and hasn’t had many problems with checking out. Humphries has won seven of his last ten, but he has had problems on the doubles. Four of his last ten matches saw checkout rates under 30%. He still won two of them but against an in-form Dirk van Duijvenbode he will need to do better.
Sunday Night Baltic Sea Darts Tip: 1 point Dirk van Duijvenbode to win @ 1.91 with Ladbrokes, Boylesports

Ryan Searle vs. Keegan Brown
A surprising quarter final line up. Searle you could have made a case for given his recent form but Brown, as an unseeded player, not so much.
Searle has won eight of his last ten matches and his last defeat was in the final of PC4 last weekend when he went down 2-8 to Dirk van Duijvenbode. He has never gone beyond the quarter final stage before on the Euro Tour but his 100 average this afternoon suggests he has a very good chance of just that.
Brown Averaged 94.4 in his 6-4 win over a lacklustre Peter Wright this afternoon. Brown was 60% on his doubles, so he was able to take his chances. It is unlikely that he will get as many this evening.
Searle Edges H2H
Their H2H record is 3-2 to Searle and he has won their last two, including a 6-5 win in PC1 two weeks ago which Searle went on to win. Brown’s last win against Searle was in 2018 and Searle is a much better player nowadays.
Searle is the 1.30 favourite with Brown 4.33. Searle is the better player, is in good form, but Europe has not been a happy hunting ground for him in the past. He has a great chance to make his first semi-final appearance and he should do so. His odds are of no interest however. No bet.
Sunday Night Baltic Sea Darts Tip: No Bet
Jonny Clayton vs. Steve Beaton
Steve Beaton looked to be about to let Joe Cullen back into the match with a clutch of missed match darts but he got it over the line to win 6-4. He only averaged 86.2, not helped by those missed doubles. He was a little lucky that Cullen played poorly, and his checkout rate was just 23.5%. Needless to say, he will need to play much better tonight.
Jonny Clayton won’t get many better chances to reach a euro tour semi-final. He has a qualifier as an opponent and a player who averages some 5 points less in 2023 and with whom he has a 5-1 H2H record.
Their most recent match was just two weeks ago, and The Ferret won that 6-1. Beaton missed no less 8 doubles to have a checkout rate of just 11%. Clayton has dropped just three legs so far and his doubling has been excellent. It was 66% in both his matches so far and that combined with heavier scoring, will make him hard to beat.
Clayton Odds On
Clayton is the 1.25 favourite and Beaton 4.60.
Clayton doesn’t usually mess about. He likes to get on with it and win 6-0 if he can. Unless Beaton can find the A game he had on Friday night when he averaged 106, he is likely to struggle. He did reach the final of PC 30 late last year, so he can pull off surprises, but he was very nervous this afternoon and that is likely to be the case again.
Sunday Night Baltic Sea Darts Tip: 1 point Jonny Clayton to win -2.5 legs @ 1.83 with Fitzdares
Martin Schindler vs. Dave Chisnall
Chizzy won a classic this afternoon and sadly it was against our number1 selection, Gerwyn Price, who averaged 108 and still lost 4-6. At least he won the four legs to land the over 9.5 legs bet.
Chisnall rained down nine maximums and was 40% on the doubles and despite an excellent performance from Price, Chisnall was victorious. He has won eight of his last ten matches and had five ton plus averages. It is only a few months since Chisnall won ET12 last October so he has positive mental associations to draw on.
Martin Schindler is the only quarter finalist never to have won a PDC title. He is also the home crowds hope for a German win, so he is under quite a bit of pressure. He has beaten Chisnall twice (H2H 2-2) but the last time was in 2019.
Both players are big 180 merchants with Chizzy ranked 4th and Schindler 7th for 180s per leg. These bets can’t all keep ending up one maximum short of the target. Schindler hit four against Heta but it was the Aussie who was firing.
Schindler is playing well so far. He is not far off Chisnall in terms of firepower and so long as he doesn’t crumble under the crowd’s expectations and his own nerves, he should give a good account of himself.
Chisnall is the 1.57 favourite and Schindler a 2.60 shot.
