Virtual Grand National Tips by Dave Stevos
Virtual Grand National Preview 2020
If you told me a month ago I’d be tipping up a horse for a Virtual Grand National I would have laughed. Hard. However, the world is a strange old place these days and it is hard to believe what is going on. At least this event will provide sports fans with a very welcome distraction on Saturday. It is great to see that bookmakers will be donating any profits to the NHS. The Virtual Grand National will be shown live on ITV at 5pm on Saturday and you can check out Dave Stevos Virtual Grand National tips and preview below…
Virtual Grand National Tips – Tiger Roll To Thrill
Thousands of virtual racing fans will descend on virtual Liverpool tomorrow for the virtual Aintree Grand National. A field of 40 virtual horses will line up at the start and they’ll have to jump 30 virtual fences, including the fearsome Virtual Becher’s Brook. Tiger Roll, the winner of the last two real Grand Nationals, carries top weight for Davy Russell and Gordon Elliott. The whole nation will want this horse to win, even virtually, and can you really see any other outcome?
People are miserable enough at the current time thanks to the coronavirus and I am not sure any result other than a virtual Tiger Roll victory would go down too well with the public. Tiger Roll loves this course and distance, Davy Russell knows the track inside out too and at odds of 5/1 he looks by far the most likely virtual winner.
Regular readers of the blog will know how highly I rate Jett and the Waley Cohens seemingly hold a similar opinion. They splashed the cash on him last month and Sam takes the virtual ride on Saturday. However, while his jumping is a big asset his virtual stamina may be stretched over this marathon trip. I am not sure there is a computer program around that could come up with an algorithm that has him winning (unlike my twisted mind!) so I’ll be looking elsewhere. Anyway, in my opinion he should have run in the Virtual Gold Cup at Cheltenham.
Take A Virtual Walk On The Wild Side
Walk On The Mill was one of my each way picks last season and he ran a cracker to finish 4th. He was 10L behind the front three but he stayed on stoutly and he is running off a virtual feather wright again this season. This is another horse, just like Tiger Roll, with an impeccable record over the Grand National fences.
He has had three starts over them, winning the Becher Chase twice and then placing in the big one last year. Robert Walford is one of the shrewdest virtual trainers around and he says this horse has been virtually schooling very well. He had a nice prep run over timber at Chepstow and he carries 10st 4lb, the same weight as last year. He should give virtual James Best a great spin and with 16/1 widely available, Walk On The Mill is the each way pick for the Virtual Grand National. Tiger Roll will probably win but I didn’t back him in 2018 or 2019, so I am not starting now!
