2020 Kempton Saturday Tips For ITV4 Races

2020 Kempton Saturday Preview of Live ITV4 Races

We almost had a great day last Saturday but missed out on two winners by the width of a cigarette paper. Delire D’Estruval just failed to get up for Luca Morgan, losing out in a close finish. Silver Hallmark was very disappointing in the Tolworth but he is better than that. Distingo looked nailed on for a place jumping the 2nd last but stopped like he was shot. Regal Flow ran a blinder, just missing out in a photo for us at 25/1. The focus switches to Kempton Park this weekend and the Lanzarote Hurdle is the feature. Check out Dave Stevos’ free 2020 Kempton Saturday tips below…

2020 Kempton Saturday Tips: 2.05pm Silviniaco Conti Chase (Grade 2)

A small five runner Grade 2 Chase starts off the live action from Kempton on ITV4 on Saturday. It looks a tight enough affair on paper with Top Notch the favourite at around even money. Frodon is next best at 5/2 but he has plenty to prove after two poor efforts this term. Top Notch is rated 7lb inferior to Frodon but on current form it is hard to be confident in Bryony Frost’s mount.

Kauto Riko pushed Top Notch all the way last time, belying his odds of 100/1. That was a big step up on anything he showed previously and he is no banker to back it up. Born Survivor was well behind both Top Notch and Kauto Riko last time and his odds of 16/1 look just about right. Keeper Hill is the outsider and he is hard to be confident in after a poor display last time at Cheltenham. I can’t find an angle for a bet in this race, so a watching brief is advised.

2020 KEMPTON SATURDAY TIPS: NO BET

Kempton Saturday Preview: 2.40pm – Lanzarote Hurdle (Listed)

Regular readers will probably know who I am going to back in this one. Debestyman is a horse I like and he ran a blinder for us at massive odds at Newbury in November. He just missed out on the places at 50/1 and he wasn’t disgraced last time at Cheltenham. Both those runs came over 3 miles and it looked like his stamina gave way on his last outing. Unlike at Newbury he was more forward during the race and he only faded in the last 100 yards.

I think that 21f around a track like Kempton will play to this fella’s strengths. Michael Nolan will surely be up there with the early pace again and on a flat track there should be no issues with him getting the trip. He is now 2lb lower than for his fine run at Newbury and he sneaks in here off a feather weight of 10st 4lbs. The ground should be fine for him and at 14/1 he is the each way NAP of the day.

2020 KEMPTON SATURDAY TIPS: DEBESTYMAN E/W @ 14/1 NAP (4 PLACES)

2020 Kempton Saturday  Tips: 3.15pm – Handicap Chase (Class 2)

Eight horses will go to post for this tricky 3 mile handicap chase. I tipped up Minellacelebration for the Becher Chase last month and he went well for a long way before fading late. He has had a wind op since then and sometimes horses can need a run to gain confidence after having a breathing procedure. If it is effective he is capable of a big run off 137 but because of the wind op I’ll just watch him today.

One that looks potentially overpriced at 9/1 is King Of Realms for Ian Williams and Bryony Frost. This 8yo son of King’s Theatre is highly thought of by connections and he is just 2lb higher than when winning at Warwick last season. Soft ground was no good for him on his seasonal return and conditions at Kempton will suit a lot better. If Bryony Frost gets him into a rhythm up front he could be hard to peg back. His form on good to soft ground reads 1212 and at odds of 9/1 he is the e/w pick.

2020 KEMPTON SATURDAY TIPS: KING OF REALMS E/W @ 9/1 nb
