2025 German Darts GP Monday Preview

It was a mixed bag for James on Sunday but he is hoping to finish the bank holiday weekend with a flourish. Check out his 2025 German Darts GP Monday preview and tips below.

Gerwyn Price vs. Josh Rock

Josh Rock is our last man standing thanks to terrible performances by both Jonny Clayton and Cameron Menzies yesterday. Absolute stinkers from both.

Rock, on the other hand, played as well as expected, beating Scott Williams 6-2 and averaging 100.73. Price also played well in his 6-3 win over Raymond van Barneveld.

Rock has won seven of his last ten matches and hit nine ton plus averages. He is in top form and while this will be a tough match, he is in with a decent shout. Price has won six of his last ten matches and one of those wins was a 8-7 victory over Rock in the final of PC12 a couple of weeks ago.

Overall, their H2H record is 4-2 to Rock. On the Euro Tour it is 1-1. Three of their four best of eleven leg matches have seen ten or more legs and this has the look of another close one. Hopefully with Rock being the winner.

2025 German Darts GP Monday Tip: 1 point over 9.5 legs @ 1.91 with Boylesports

Rob Cross vs. Krzysztof Ratajski

Rob Cross was able to ride the tide of abuse from a pretty aggressive German crowd, beating Ricardo Pietreczko 6-4, with a 97 average. Cross has lost six of his last ten matches, but two were to Luke Littler, another to Humphries. His standard of play means he should be hard to beat, but he is impossible to call.

Ratajski beat Suljovic by the skin of his teeth and played well but was poor when beating the out of form Michael Smith 6-4 yesterday. He was delighted to win both as he came here on the back of five straight defeats and some poor scoring. He has been hitting a lot of sub 90 averages and the deeper he goes here, the harder it will get.

Cross is the 1.62 favourite and their H2H record is very close at 10-9 to Cross. On the Euro Tour it is 2-2. Given their respective recent form, Cross should win this, but that is reflected in the odds. No bet.

2025 German Darts GP Monday Tip: No Bet

Ryan Joyce vs. Niels Zonneveld

When he can summon up the courage to travel to Europe for these events, Joyce enjoys himself and plays good stuff. Runner up in ET2, he has to qualify for these events as and as such has limited opportunities to win enough money to make the European Championship.

He is up to ninth in the Euro Tour OOM and a win here would be a big step towards the finals. He smashed up Damon Heta with a 101 average and a 6-0 win yesterday. Joyce is not in top form but yesterday’s win will have given him a nice feeling.

Zonneveld is getting the hang of the Euro Tour. He gave James Wade a good beating, averaging 100 and a 6-2 win. He has won seven of his last ten Euro Tour matches and yesterday was his best performance.

Two players who enjoyed good wins yesterday. Joyce has dropped just one leg across his two matches. Their H2H record is 3-2 to Zonneveld and he has won their last three in a row.

Joyce is the 1.62 favourite, Zonneveld 2.30. This is a hard one to call and I will give it a miss.

2025 German Darts GP Monday Tip: No Bet

Michael van Gerwen vs. Ryan Searle

Despite outscoring Kim Huybrechts by some way last night, MVG had to survive a match dart against him, but he got over the line with a 6-5 win. Even averaging 102.49, he made hard work of it. He has lost five of his last ten matches and that sums his form up. Half his last ten match averages have been sub 90s. He is far from his best and far from backable.

Ryan Searle has to make the most of getting a leg up to seeded status this weekend. He needs to cash in and move up the rankings so he gets automatically seeded. A win here would help. Searle has won six of his last ten matches but I wouldn’t say he is in good form. His scoring has dropped off in recent weeks and he looks like he is struggling.

Their H2H record is 5-5 and Searle won both their matches in 2024, including a 6-3 win on the Euro Tour. That was a dreadful match from both players, and we could get another today. MVG is the 1.66 favourite, Searle 2.30. I am keen to oppose MVG, but just not sure that Searle is the man to do it right now.

2025 German Darts GP Monday Tip: No Bet

Dave Chisnall vs. Ross Smith

Chizzy has won six of his last ten matches and has played well in his last three, but overall, his game is very unpredictable.

Smith has won seven of his last ten matches and is playing better than Chisnall and much more consistently. He beat Chisnall at the same stage of ET2 a month ago. Overall, their H2H record is 6-6 but Smith has won the last three. On the Euro Tour he is 2-1, his only defeat was in the final of ET8 last season.

2025 German Darts GP Monday Tip: 1 point Ross Smith to win @ 1.71 with Livescorebet

Martin Schindler vs. Gian van Veen

Last night’s crowd were very hard on Jonny Clayton. It takes something to wind him up, but he was not happy and he just didn’t turn up. Schindler won 6-1 but only averaged 87. The German used the crowd to break his opponent and Van Veen may have more of the same today.

This is an afternoon session and this is effectively a Sunday crowd. They are usually less pissed up and more family orientated, but Van Veen will not get a kind reception. It is a big advantage for Schindler in having so many home events on the Euro Tour, and he makes the most of it.

Van Veen averaged 99 in his 6-4 win over Andrew Gilding and the Dutchman is in good form. He has won seven of his last ten matches and had just two averages under 96+.

Schindler will need his A game, Van Veen needs to be able to block out the crowd. Schindler leads their H2H record 3-1. They have met twice on the Euro Tour, won one each, with the result being 6-2 in both. In fact their last three matches have ended 6-2. They have also seen a shed load of 180s, twenty one from twenty four legs played. That is 0.875 per leg.

2025 German Darts GP Monday Tip: 1 point over 5.5 180s @ 1.72 with SpreadEx

Peter Wright vs. Madars Razma

Razma caught Danny Noppert on an off day yesterday, winning 6-2, but he also played well himself. Razma has won six of his last ten matches and has mostly played well, but he is not the most consistent of players.

Peter Wright has also won six of his last ten matches and he is playing better than Razma and more consistently.

Their H2H record is 8-0 to Wright and he should make it 9-0. He has handed out some heavy beatings to Razma in their last four matches including a 6-1 win when they met for their only match last year. Wright is the 1.67 favourite and I will be bold and back him on the handicap.

2025 German Darts GP Monday Tip: 1 point Peter Wright to win -1.5 legs @ 2.12 with Livescorebet

Luke Littler vs. Joe Cullen

Time for the GOAT to show us what he can do. Yes, Cullen is just 6.00 to beat the World Champion.

These two met in the final of ET5 last year, with Littler winning 8-4. Cullen did beat Littler 6-3 in PC1 this season, but Littler was still having a wee post world Championship dip. This not really a betting match. No bet.
