2025 Night 14 Premier League Darts Preview
A profitable night last week, fingers crossed for more of the same from James Punt in Leeds. Check out his 2025 Night 14 Premier League Darts preview below.
Night 13 Reflections
Last Thursday was a better night with three winners from four and a 2.35 point profit, bringing the tally to -1.92 points.
Luke Littler is the first name to be confirmed for finals night, but who will join him. Luke Humphries remains in second place on twenty six points, Gerwyn Price third on twenty two and Van Gerwen on Twenty. Nathan Aspinall is just one point outside the top four, while Cross needs a nightly win to get into the fray.
This week’s action comes from Leeds, so a ‘home’ night for Luke (Leeds Utd, Kings of Europe) Humphries. He hasn’t won a night for nine weeks. He will face Van Gerwen in the quarter finals, and the Dutchman has yet to win a night at all this year. Humphries beat MVG in the final here last year.
Rob Cross vs. Gerwyn Price
Along with Michael van Gerwen, Cross is without a nightly win. His recent form sees him losing seven of his last ten matches and his usual consistency of scoring has been absent in recent matches. Averages of 86.50, 97.97, 96.74 and 86.98 for his last four matches is not like him. He has won just one of his last five quarter finals in the PL.
Gerwyn Price is struggling to win matches as well. He has lost five of his last ten matches overall. He was dreadful against MVG in last week’s semi-final but otherwise his scoring remains strong, he is just struggling to win.
Their H2H record is 15-13 for Price and in this year’s PL it is 2-1 for Cross. Including last year’s PL it is 3-3 but of interest is the fact that five of their six PL matches in his format have been under 9.5 legs.

Nathan Aspinall vs. Luke Littler
Littler has already qualified and all he wants to do is to make sure he tops the league table. Aspinall needs to win matches if he is to make the playoffs and land our ante post bet on him to do so.
The big thing to look at here is the H2H record. It is 12-1 to Littler and he has won their last ten in a row. Aspinall is in poor form, losing six of his last ten matches. Littler has won seven of his last ten matches and picked up a record fifth nightly win last week.
It is hard to see anything other than a win for Littler, unless he doesn’t try too hard in order to help his stablemate to get into the final. Let’s face it, Littler would love to play Aspinall in the playoffs, rather than Price or MVG.
Littler is the 1.30 favourite, Aspinall 3.90. It is a no bet for me.
2025 Night 14 Premier League Darts Tip: No Bet
Michael van Gerwen vs. Luke Humphries
We had backed MVG for last weekend’s Euro Tour but he fell at the first fence, losing 3-6 to Dirk van Duijvenbode. MVG was very poor, averaging 89.52. Since he won ET4 three weeks ago, his form has dipped. He has played six and lost three and his scoring has tailed off.
Humphries has lost five of his last ten matches and continues to hit big averages, but he is losing too many matches and looks a bit cheesed off.
Neither player is inspiring any great confidence right now. It is a bigger game for MVG and his record with Humphries is 15-15. In this year’s PL it is 2-1 to Humphries. All three have been over 9.5 legs. Humphries is playing the better darts right now and he is the 1.67 favourite, with MVG 2.38.

Stephen Bunting vs. Chris Dobey
Dobey has lost five of his last ten matches. He is, by and large, playing good stuff but is losing with big averages. His last three defeats have been down to poor doubling.
Bunting has lost six of his last ten matches and his last five in a row. He too has been struggling on the outer ring.
These two have met twice in the PL this year and Dobey won both 6-2. Overall Dobey is 13-4 and of their best of eleven leg matches ten of their thirteen have been under 9.5 legs.
Bunting is the 1.80 favourite, Dobey 2.10. That seems the wrong way round to me.
