2026 Baltic Sea Darts Open Sunday Preview

It was more of the same from James Punt on Saturday night, hopefully we continue in the same vein. Check out James Punt’s 2026 Baltic Sea Darts Open Sunday preview below.

Reflections

It has been a good betting tournament so far. Twenty match bets, fourteen winners and +13.42 points profit. We have lost 2 points on the outright bets, with Cross and Smith falling at the first fence. We still have one outright selection running. Justin Hood, our 41.00 outsider is into the third round, and is now a 12.00 shot.

The Euro Tour events in 2026 have been dominated by the top 12 seeded players, but we only have four of them left, and only seven of the sixteen seeded players survived the second round. Only Wessel Nijman has won on the Euro Tour already in 2026, so there is a decent chance that we will see the eighth different winner from eight events on the 2026 Euro Tour.

Sebastian Bialecki vs. Jimmy van Schie

Bialecki is making his first third round appearance on the Euro Tour. Van Schie is making his Euro Tour debut, so this is new territory for both.

Bialecki is averaging 99 across his first two matches and is in good form, winning eight of his last ten matches. Van Schie has won six of his last ten matches and has only lost one leg so far, but he has had by far the easiest path to the third round. He only averaged 87 in his 6-1 win over the hapless De Decker last night.

These two have met six times in various junior events and one senior. Bialecki is 4-2 up but Van Schie won their only pro tour match, a 6-5 win last year.

Bialecki is the 1.73 favourite, Van Schie 2.30. I fancy Bialecki to win it, but his odds look about right. No bet.

2026 Baltic Sea Darts Open Sunday Tip: No bet

Cameron Menzies vs. Luke Woodhouse

Menzies made the semi-final last weekend and he has picked up where he left off. He has beaten two in-form players, Rob Cross and Stephen Bunting. That is good work and he is playing well, winning seven of his last ten matches.

Woodhouse beat a disappointing Andrew Gilding yesterday in a poor match. He has won eight of his last ten matches and after picking up his first PDC title last week, he will be feeling confident, but he needs to play better.

Their H2H record extends to just one match, way back in 2022, which Menzies won 6-2. I have been impressed by Menzies so far, but he could implode at any minute. However, I will back him to make further progress.

2026 Baltic Sea Darts Open Sunday Tip: 1 point Cameron Menzies to win @ 2.25 with Bresbet, Betfred

Kevin Doets vs. Justin Hood

As we are on Hood outright, there is no point getting involved here. Hood has played really well so far, maybe a bit disappointing on the doubles in his 6-1 win over Wattimena yesterday, but it was still a 99 average.

Doets is only averaging 90 across his two matches (Hood 101) and maybe he has come off the boil a little. He is the more experienced player in this format, but Hood is taking to the Euro Tour like a duck to water.

Their H2H record is another that extends to just one match. That was a 6-3 win for Doets in a Euro Tour qualifier last year. Fingers crossed that Hood can get his revenge. He is the 2.40 outsider and looks the value bet to me, but having backed him outright, I will pass. No bet.

2026 Baltic Sea Darts Open Sunday Tip: No Bet

James Wade vs. Ricky Evans

Evans completely out played Daryl Gurney yesterday, It was a 96 average and a 6-3 win. Can he keep it up? He hasn’t won a Euro Tour third round match since 2023 so he will be feeling it now.

Wade hasn’t won a title in Europe for ten years, but is a frequent visitor to quarter and semi-finals, He has won five of his last seven third round matches. He has won eight of his last ten matches and is 8-4 vs. Evans. It was Evans who won their last match, a 3-2 win at Ally Pally last December.

Wade is the 1.44 favourite, Evans 3.25. I think Wade wins, but the odds are not any great value. No bet.

2026 Baltic Sea Darts Open Sunday Tip: No Bet

Ryan Searle vs. Wessel Nijman

Nijman is now the 5.50 favourite to win the tournament, and 1.67 to beat Searle.

Searle was runner up last weekend and is playing well, winning seven of his last ten matches. He beat Dirk van Duijvenbode 6-4 last night, but it was a poor match and Searle averaged just 89.77.

Nijman beat Ratajski 6-1, averaging 98.46. He has won six of his last ten matches and is a tournament winning machine, which Searle isn’t, at least on stage he isn’t.

Their H2H record is 6-0 to Nijman and in their best of 11 leg matches, he has won 6-1, 6-1, 6-2 and 6-3, so at least Searle is getting closer. They have met twice in 2026 and when they met on the Euro Tour in April, Nijman won 6-2.

Nijman is the 1.67 favourite, but I will take him on the handicap

2026 Baltic Sea Darts Open Sunday Tip: 1 point Nijman to win -1.5 legs @ 2.10 with Boylesports

William O’Connor vs. Damon Heta

O’Connor has won six of his last ten matches, but he was poor in his 6-2 win over an out of sorts Noppert. O’Connor lost his only other third round match on the Euro Tour this season.

Heta massively improved his chances of qualifying for the Matchplay by beating Sedlacek yesterday, but Sedlacek threw his chances away. Heta has also won six of his last ten matches but won one of his two third round matches.

Their H2H record is 2-1 to O’Connor and he has won their last two, All have been close affairs and this could be another close one.

2026 Baltic Sea Darts Open Sunday Tip: 1 point over 9.5 legs @ 2.10 with Betfair

Niko Springer vs. Ryan Joyce

Springer averaged 102 and blew last week’s winner, Ross Smith, away last night. He has won seven of his last ten matches but not played that well, until last night. He has lost three of his four third round matches in 2026, all of them close matches.

Joyce has won eight of his last ten matches but he hasn’t played well so far, averaging just 89 across his two matches. He has won two of his three third round matches in 2026.

Their H2H record is 1-0 to Joyce, a 6-5 win last year.

2026 Baltic Sea Darts Open Sunday Tip: 1 point over 9.5 legs @ 1.96 with Livescorebet

Gian Van Veen vs. Dave Chisnall

Chisnall beat The GOAT, Joe Cullen yesterday but it was an OK performance, nothing more. Chizzy has lost six of his last ten matches and is struggling. Hasn’t even reached the third round in 2026 until now.

Van Veen needed a deciding leg to beat Van Den Bergh last night, but at least he averaged 96.75. He is not in great form, neither player is.

Their H2H record is 2-1 to Van Veen, but their last match was back in 2023 and Chizzy was a proper player back then.

Van Veen is the 1.44 favourite but two players not in good form doesn’t get me going. No bet.
