2026 European Championship Day 4 Tips – JP
2026 European Championship Day 4 Preview
James Punt landed two winners from three bets on Saturday night. Check out his 2026 European Championship Day 4 preview and tips below.
Ross Smith vs. Luke Woodhouse
Smith is trying to become the first number 1 seed to reach the semi-final since MVG in 2017. Woodhouse is trying to make the semi-final for the second time in three years.
Smith has averaged 94.01 so far, Woodhouse 97.22. Smudger is hitting the 180s at 0.44 per leg, and that is the bedrock of his game. Woodhouse has been relentless and unflappable. He is a two time PDC title winner in 2026 and the belief is there now.
Their H2H record is 6-5 to Smith, but on TV, 2-0 to Woodhouse. He beat Smith here in the first round in 2024, the first step towards his first major semi-final.
Ross Smith is the 1.80 favourite, Woodhouse 2.10. I can’t argue too much with the odds. Woodhouse offers up some value, it looks like a bit of a coin toss to me.
They haven’t had many close matches in the past, indeed their last was a 7-0 win for Smith in a Players Championship event last year. However, both players have looked in good form, and they should produce a competitive match. Over 16.5 legs is only 1.73 so I will just go for a straight win bet on Woodhouse
2026 European Championship Day 4 Tip: 1 point Luke Woodhouse to win @ 2.10 with Boylesports, Betfair
Gerwyn Price vs. Stephen Bunting
Price has had a lean season title wise, but he has played five TV Major quarter finals and won the lot. He has only won one of four played in this Championship. His tournament average so far is 97.5 and he has won seven of his last ten matches. He has played in four European Championship quarter finals and won one, but all of them saw over 17.5 legs.
Bunting is averaging 93.32, but he finally put in a decent performance yesterday, averaging 96.83 in a 10-3 win over Huybrechts. He has won six of his last ten matches but lacks the same sort of consistency as Price. Bunting has played twenty TV major quarter finals over the years and lost fourteen.
Their H2H record is 17-10 to Price and in ranking TV majors, 4-1.
Price is the 1.40 favourite, Bunting 3.25.
2026 European Championship Day 4 Tip: 1 point over 16.5 legs @ 2.00 with Boylesports
2026 European Championship Day 4 Tip: 0.5 point Price to win 10-8 @ 8.50 with Boylesports, Betfair
Martin Schindler vs. Jonny Clayton
This is the first time Schindler has got beyond round two in the European Championship. He has won six of his last ten matches, but he hasn’t been great this weekend, averaging just 91.75 across his first two matches. He does have home advantage, and the crowd have been giving him a bit of a lift.
Jonny Clayton has continued his good run of form. He has won eight of his last ten matches and his tournament average is 97.54.
Their H2H record is 9-7 to Clayton and on TV 4-1.
Clayton is the 1.40 favourite, Schindler 3.00. I’ll take The Ferret to cover a -2.5 leg handicap.
2026 European Championship Day 4 Tip: 1 point Jonny Clayton to win -2.5 legs @ 1.91 with SpreadEx, Boylesports
Krzysztof Ratajski vs. Luke Littler
I certainly didn’t expect to see Ratajski in the quarter finals. His form coming into this event wasn’t great, and he had lost seven of his last ten matches. However, he beat Chisnall, no surprise, and Kevin Doets, which was surprising. His tournament average is 94.08, but he played well against Doets.
Luke Littler has averaged 109.76 across his two wins. Aspinall did his best last night, averaged 105.57, but only managed to win five legs.
Their H2H record is 7-0 to Littler. They have played one best of 19 leg matches on TV, at the 2025 UK open and that ended 10-8 to Littler. They met at Ally Pally at the start of the year, Littler won that 5-0.
Littler is 1.07 favourite, Ratajski 9.00. It is hard to see an upset on the cards here, and it is more about the margin of victory. I will have a small correct score bet for some interest,
