2026 European Darts GP Saturday Preview
James Punt managed to steady the ship with a couple of winners this afternoon, including Rock to win 6-3 at odds of 6.00. Check out his 2026 European Darts GP Saturday preview and tips below.
Ross Smith vs. Cameron Menzies
Menzies produced the performance of day one with a 104.50 average and a 6-3 win over Raymond van Barneveld, and Barney played well. The question is, can he keep it up? Menzies has won six of his last ten matches but hit four sub 90 averages. He is not very consistent.
Ross Smith is not in good form, losing six of his last ten matches but on the Euro Tour, he is four from four in second round matches. It is the third round where he has fallen every time.
Their H2H record is 7-4 to Smith and on the Euro Tour 2-1. Five of their matches have ended 6-4, including their last four in a row. They met a couple of weeks ago in Munich and Smith won that 6-4.
2026 European Darts GP Saturday Tip: 1 point over 9.5 legs @ 2.10 with Livescorebet
Gerwyn Price vs. Dave Chisnall
Price’s last ten matches have all been in the PL, and he has won six. Three of those defeats were to Luke Littler, and Dave Chisnall is no Luke Littler.
Chizzy beat Petr Krivka 6-4 yesterday and it was a decent performance. Chisnall has won five of his last ten matches but he has not progressed to the third round in Europe this season.
Their H2H record is 10-6 to Price and the Welshman has won their last three in a row. They have only played each other twice in the last two and a half years and they were both last year, more representative of where Chisnall is these days. Price won them 6-2 and 6-1.
Price is 1.25 to win and Chisnall 4.50.
2026 European Darts GP Saturday Tip: 0.5 point Gerwyn Price to win 6-2 @ 5.00 generally available
Nathan Aspinall vs. Jeffrey de Zwaan
De Zwaan beat Peter Wright 6-3 last night. Wright is easy to beat these days and it was a win that told us very little about De Zwaan’s game. It was a 91.54 average and he has now won eight of his last ten matches. That sounds very good, but half of those matches produced sub 90 averages.
Aspinall has won seven of his last ten matches and hasn’t played since winning the German Darts Grand Prix two weeks ago. Their H2H record is 3-2 to Aspinall, but they have not met since 2021.
De Zwaan has not won a second-round match on the Euro Tour since 2022 and he has never really made any impression on the Euro Tour, even in his prime.
Aspinall is the 1.30 favourite, De Zwaan 3.80. The odds look about right and it is a no bet for me.
2026 European Darts GP Saturday Tip: No Bet
James Wade vs. Kim Huybrechts
Our 151.00 shot, Kim Huybrechts didn’t shoot the lights out in his 6-3 win over Dirk van Duijvenbode, but it was a good performance against a good opponent. Now he has to do it again, against another good opponent. Huybrechts has won seven of his last ten matches and he is two from two in Euro Tour second round matches in 2026.
James Wade is nil from three in Europe in 2026. His recent form sees five wins from his last ten matches and he is lacking his usual consistency. His last four matches have produced averages of 82.88, 96.18, 87.48 and 98.00. It is hard to know what to expect.
Their H2H record is 23-7 to Wade. Their last three matches have all been on the Euro Tour and Wade won them all, 6-1, 6-3 and 6-2.
Wade is the 1.80 favourite, Huybrechts 2.10. We are on Huybrechts outright, but Wade does look to be the value bet here and I am happy to hedge.
2026 European Darts GP Saturday Tip: 1 point James Wade to win @ 1.80 with Betfred, Skybet BET365
Gian van Veen vs. Joe Cullen
Cullen will be sensing an opportunity here. Van Veen has gone off the boil recently and has lost seven of his last ten matches. He lost at this stage to Willie O’Connor two weeks ago, but he is still averaging in the low to mid 90’s.
Joe Cullen was runner up in PC8 three weeks ago and has won seven of his last ten matches, but since that final he has lost three from six and had three sub 90 averages, including his 87.51 last night.
Their H2H record is 4-3 to Van Veenn. Cullen won their first three, and Van Veen their last four in a row. They played twice in 2025 and both went to a deciding leg, one being a Players Championship final.
Van Veen is the 1.45 favourite, Cullen 3.20 and he is being backed. The problem with Cullen is that he is lacking consistency. That and the fact that he has not reached the third round in his last thirteen Euro Tour events. Most of their matches have been close and that is the way to go here.
2026 European Darts GP Saturday Tip: 1 point over 9.5 legs @ 2.20 with Betfair, Betvictor, Skybet
Michael van Gerwen vs. Michael Unterbuchner
Unterbuchner averaged 95.52 in his 6-5 win over William O‘Connor. He has won eight of his last ten matches, nine of them on the Challenge tour and he is perfectly capable of playing at the mid 90s level.
MVG has lost six of his last ten matches and he is not just losing to the big names in the PL. He has lost matches to Jeffrey Sparidaans, Merv King and Niko Springer all in the last three weeks.
MVG is the 1.25 favourite but the money is going down on the German, who is a 4.50 chance. MVG has lost two of his three second round matches on the Euro Tour this year and it is worth opposing him here.
2026 European Darts GP Saturday Tip: 1 point Michael Unterbuchner to win @ 4.50 with Ladbrokes, Skybet
Martin Schindler vs. Damon Heta
Will home advantage be enough to lift Schindler out of his run of poor form? He has lost six of his last ten matches and two of his four second round matches on the Euro Tour.
Damon Heta played well in his 6-4 win over Madars Razma yesterday, averaging 95.65. Heta has not been in great form, losing five of his last ten matches and his performance yesterday was at the top end of his recent form.
Their H2H record is 4-4 to Heta and on the Euro Tour 2-2. The market makes Heta the 1.80 favourite but this looks too hard to call. No bet.
2026 European Darts GP Saturday Tip: No Bet
Jonny Clayton vs. Valters Melderis
A bit of a non-event to end the night but in saying that, Valters Melderis put in a decent performance to beat Karel Sedlacek 6-4 yesterday. Evil Charlie wasn’t at his best and it was only an 86.64 average for Melderis, but his timing was good.
Clayton is a few steps further up the ladder than Sedlacek and he should have little trouble justifying odds of just 1.06 to win this. No bet.
