2026 International Darts Open Saturday Preview
We landed two winners from three bets this afternoon. Things are looking up! Check out James Punt’s 2026 International Darts Open Saturday preview below.
Chris Dobey vs. Kim Huybrechts
Dobey has lost five of his last ten matches but hit four ton plus averages and is playing better than the win-loss ratio suggests. He has made a Euro Tour semi and quarter final in 2026 but lost at this stage of the Austrian Darts Open, a 5-6 defeat by Kim Huybrechts two weeks ago.
Huybrechts has won seven of his last ten matches, but he will need to up his game from the very ordinary performance against a very poor Daryl Gurney last night. Sometimes a player gets dragged down by an opponent, and I suspect that is what happened to Huybrechts. Huybrechts has won three of his four Euro Tour second round matches and has been playing some very good darts in 2026, if lacking in consistency.
Their H2H record is 9-4 to Dobey and on the Euro Tour in 2026, it is 1-1.
Dobey is the 1.50 favourite, despite that recent, narrow win two weeks ago. Huybrechts is 2.75. Dobey is the better player, but if Kim brings his A game than he can win. I can see no value here. No bet.
2026 International Darts Open Saturday Tip: No Bet
James Wade vs. Dave Chisnall
I backed against Chizzy with a big priced outsider yesterday and despite him winning 6-3, he was far from comfortable and had Liam Maendl-Lawrance been better on the doubles, Chisnall would have been in trouble.
Wade has won six of his last ten matches, but won just two from seven on the Euro Tour in 2026. However, he has played better than that sounds, especially in more recent matches.
Their H2H record is 17-13 to Chisnall, but much of that past form was when Chisnall was a top player, which he no longer is. They have played just once since Chisnall lost his form, and he did manage to win that 6-5 back in February.
These days, Wade is the heavier scorer and better finisher and he is the 1.44 favourite to win. He should win, with something in hand.
2026 International Darts Open Saturday Tip: 1 point James Wade to win -1.5 legs @ 1.70 with Boylesports, Hills
Ryan Searle vs. Charlie Manby
Manby beat a very poor Niko Springer 6-3, but Manby stuck to his task and didn’t get dragged down, averaging 94.94. More of that and he can make more progress. Manby has won eight of his last ten matches but his seasonal average is just 90.94, so we maybe shouldn’t expect too much from him.
Ryan Searle is struggling on the Euro Tour, as he often has. Overall, he has lost five of his last ten matches and on the Euro Tour, Searle has played eight and lost six.
Searle is the 1.62 favourite, Manby 2.38. I think Searle can be opposed, but is the youngster up to the job? The odds are not good enough. No bet.
2026 International Darts Open Saturday Tip: No bet
Christian Kist vs. Ryan Joyce
As Gerwyn Price withdrew after the draw had been made, Christian Kist was parachuted in from the reserve list and takes Price’s place in the draw. That means round 2 prize money and the chance of more. Kist has won six of his last ten matches but hit six sub 90 averages and nothing better than a 93.
Ryan Joyce beat Jeffrey Sparidaans 6-2 and averaged 99.58. He has won six of his last ten matches but is playing with no consistency.
Their H2H record is 3-0 to Joyce with wins of 6-3, 6-3 and 6-2.
2026 International Darts Open Saturday Tip: 1 point Ryan Joyce to win -1.5 legs @ 2.05 with Livescorebet
2026 International Darts Open Saturday Tip: 0.5 point Joyce to win 6-3 @ 6.25 with Livescorebet
Gian Van Veen vs. Conor Scutt
Interesting. Van Veen is the better player, but he is low on confidence and not in good form. He has lost six of his last ten matches, and it is not just in the PL.
Van Veen has lost his last three second round matches on the Euro Tour against O’Connor, Cullen and Razma. Scutt is as good as those three. Four of Van Veen’s last ten matches saw sub 90 averages, and this is from one of the game’s heavy hitters.
Scutt beat Finn Behrens 6-1 yesterday and that will have settled his nerves. He has won five of his last ten matches and he is not as good as some people would have you believe, but he is a confident individual with a good attitude. He too has seen four sub 90 averages in his last ten matches.’
R2 Woes
Scutt has only played two Euro Tour second round matches and lost both, the last a 0-6 thrashing by Chris Dobey in ET1.
These two have met five times and Van Veen has won four. The last three have all required a deciding leg, including a Euro Tour first round match last year. All of their matches have been close affairs. With Van Veen low on confidence, this could be Scutt’s big chance to make the final day on the Euro Tour.
Van Veen is the 1.50 favourite, Scutt 2.75 and being backed.
2026 International Darts Open Saturday Tip: 1 point over 9.5 legs @ 2.15 with Ladbrokes, Unibet
2026 International Darts Open Saturday Tip: 0.5 point Conor Scutt to win 6-5 @ 8.50 generally available
Michael Van Gerwen vs. Madars Razma
Razzmatazz beat György Jehirszki 6-2 yesterday, as he should have, but he will need to up his game here. Razma has won five of his last ten matches but he doesn’t usually have the firepower to beat the elite players.
MVG has won seven of his last ten matches, all thanks to him winning PC15 a couple of weeks ago. He struggled in the PL and now that is behind him, he can try and get back to winning more matches and more titles.
Their H2H record is 7-3 to MVG, but Razma has won their last two, but on stage, its 3-0 to MVG.
Van Gerwen is the 1.30 favourite, and as we are on him outright, I am happy to sit this one out. No bet.
2026 International Darts Open Saturday Tip: No Bet
Stephen Bunting vs. Krzysztof Ratajski
Bunting finished another disappointing PL campaign by winning the final night in Sheffield. He has won seven of his last ten matches and he too may be able to kick on now that the PL is finished for him. He certainly played very well on Thursday night. Bunting has only played four Euro Tour events in 2026 and lost two of his opening matches.
Ratajski was very ordinary in his 6-4 win over Reyes yesterday. It was a poor match and he just about got the job done. Ratajski has lost five of his last ten matches and he hasn’t been playing great. His best performance was a 101.28 average in a 3-6 loss to Bunting a couple of weeks ago.
Their H2H record is 6-5 to Bunting, and Bunting has won their last four in a row, the last two 6-3 and in their three Euro Tour matches, two have been won 6-3 by Bunting.
2026 International Darts Open Saturday Tip: 0.5 point Bunting to win 6-3 @ 6.75 with Livescorebet
Martin Schindler vs. Karel Sedlacek
Former International Darts Open Champion, Martin Schindler, is our big, priced outsider to win it again, so he needs to get this one out of the way.
Sedlacek beat Johan Engstrom 6-0 in round 1, but the Swede was very poor. Sedlacek has lost six of his last ten matches and he hasn’t played his best stuff on the Euro Tour stage in 2026, winning three from seven and hitting just one 92+ average.
Schindy Hitting Form
Schindler has won six of his last ten matches and was a semi-finalist in PC15 a couple of weeks ago. He made the quarter final in Austria last time out on the Euro Tour, his second quarter final on the bounce, so he has been having good runs and hitting some very big averages.
Their H2H record is 3-1 to Schindler and on the Euro Tour 2-0. Schindy has form figures of SF/W/SF here for the last three years, so he loves the event and he is back on home ground.
Schindler is the 1.72 favourite and I will go for a two pointer.
