2026 PL Darts Night 11 Preview

James Punt’s luck finally took a turn for the better on Night 10. His 2026 PL Darts Night 11 preview and tips are below.

Night 10 Reflections

It was 2 from 4 last week and a decent 3.50 point profit, taking the tournament to date tally to -5.49 points. This week the PL moves across the North Sea, to Rotterdam and that means it is home advantage for MVG and Van Veen. And more boos for Littler? Absolutely.

Night 10 was won by Jonny Clayton and that moved him back to the top of the table on 24 points. That surely guarantees his place in the Playoffs. The table is seeing some separation with six nights to go. Gian van Veen is in 5th place, four points behind MVG in 4th. Not an insurmountable gap, but one that demands closing.

Josh Rock remains in last place on six points. That is ten points off the play off places as they stand. He needs night wins, not just quarter final wins. The big name under the cosh is Luke Humphries. He is in 7th place and five points outside the top four. Again, not yet critical, but he needs to pick up points ASAP, after three consecutive quarter final defeats.

Note that if you are watching in the UK, the first match starts at 18.15.

Luke Littler vs. Gerwyn Price

Littler had his worst night in the PL last week, averaging just 83.94 in a 4-6 loss to an underwhelming Stephen Bunting. He was booed from the moment he appeared and the abuse never stopped. He couldn’t settle and getting four legs flattered him.

Later, he said he just didn’t want to be there. Was that because he wasn’t well, or did he just hate being hated? If it was the latter, he isn’t going to enjoy being in Rotterdam. The Dutch fans are going to let him know what they thought of his antics in Manchester.

Littler didn’t play in this week’s Players Championships, and neither did Price. Littler has only played ten matches in the last month, winning seven. Price is also playing a very light schedule. He has played just nine matches in the last month, winning six. Maybe both are doing the PL only thing a bit too much?

Iceman More Consistent

Both are still playing well, but Price has been a bit more consistent, and there is not a lot between them. Their H2H record is now 17-8 to Littler. Price looked like he might have been Littler’s nemesis a couple of years ago, winning four of their first five matches, but more recently, Littler has won their last six in a row, and thirteen of their last fourteen. In this year’s PL it is 4-0 to Littler, the last three being over 9.5 legs.

Littler is the 1.57 favourite, with Price being backed at 2.50.

I can see why Price is being backed. Littler is going to get it right up him tonight, and he does struggle when the crowd is on his back. At least he will be expecting it, which maybe he wasn’t in Brighton. However, Price must fear playing Littler. For all his bravado, he knows he is beaten before he starts.

If you think the crowd will be the deciding factor, go for Price at 2.50. Given their H2H record, I can’t. I also don’t see Littler losing three matches in a row. You have to go back 155 matches to find the last time Littler lost three in a row. That is just over a year ago.

Gian van Veen vs. Luke Humphries

Two players who are not at the top of their games, but both need the points quite badly.

Gian van Veen will have the home crowd behind him, but he has been struggling since he got hit with his gallstone problem and resulting surgery. He has lost nine of his last twelve matches, including a 4-6 loss to Humphries.

Luke Humphries took the chance to get some competitive practice in, by playing in the Players Championship events on Monday and Tuesday, winning three matches. As usual, he scored well, averaging 98.70 across his five matches. His doubling? OK, only OK. It still is his weak point, but if he can check out at more than 33%, he should win this.

Struggles

Humphries has won five of his last ten matches and he is struggling on the outer ring. Van Veen is just struggling full stop. Humphries is likely to plenty of chances on the doubles, and he might need them.

Their H2H record is 7-6 to Van Veen, and he is 7-3 in their last ten, but unless he has suddenly found some much improved form, or Humphries has a complete doubles failure, I can only see one winner here. No doubt Humphries will make a meal of it, but this is a great chance for him to pick up much needed points.

Humphries is the 1.67 favourite, Van Veen 2.40. The crowd, and the TV companies, will be wanting to see Van Veen win and then taking on Littler in a grudge match semi-final, but I fear they are going to be disappointed.

Michael van Gerwen vs. Jonny Clayton

A repeat of last week’s final which Clayton won 6-5. Overall, their H2H record is 24-21 to MVG, surprisingly close. The Ferret has won their last three in a row and he has won their last four PL matches in a row, including two in 2026.

MVG has lost five of his last ten matches and remains very hard to predict. He has home advantage this time, but that can be a two-edged sword. MVG has played here in four previous PL nights, and lost three quarter finals, He won vs. Michael Smith in 2022 and went on to win the night.

Mixed Bag

Jonny Clayton played in the Players Championship events this week, winning three matches, and it was a mixed bag of form. He hit a 98 and 100 average in PC9, before losing 2-6 to Beau Greaves with an 85 average. On Tuesday it was a 95 and 87. He has won seven of his last ten matches, but like MVG, is hard to predict and is lacking consistency.

MVG is the 1.85 favourite, Clayton 2.05. Home advantage hasn’t really helped MVG in Rotterdam in the past and given their recent H2H record, Clayton is the call, but I’ll go for a bit of cover with an overs bet. MVG’s four quarter finals here have all been over 9.5 legs, losing two 5-6.

Stephen Bunting vs. Josh Rock

Josh Rock is on a roll, of sorts. Three consecutive quarter final wins have put him within five points of Humphries and Bunting. He will still harbour thoughts of at least not finishing last. His overall form remains poor, however.

Josh has won six of his last ten matches, but four were in the Players Championships on Monday and Tuesday. Rock beat Filip Bereza, Adam Paxton, Jack Tweddle and Jack Aldridge, none in the same league as Bunting. He did average 110 against Bereza, but also lost to Suljovic and Joe Hunt with poor averages.

PC Struggles

Bunting also turned up for the Players Championships and also struggled. He only won two matches, beating Florian Pries and Jeffrey Sparidaans, but losing to Robert Owen and Joe Hunt. It’s a shame Joe Hunt isn’t here tonight, as he might win this.

Bunting has lost five of his last ten matches and is very inconsistent and a long way from his best. He just isn’t a great PL player.

Their H2H record is 6-2 to Bunting and he won their only PL match 6-1, but that was back in March when Rock was spiralling out of control having lost his opening five matches. He is a bit more positive now.

The market is struggling to separate the two. Rock is 1.91, Bunting 2.05. I can’t argue with those odds and this match could go either way, and with any sort of winning margin. No bet.
