2026 PL Darts Night 13 Preview

This week we head to Aberdeen. James Punt’s 2026 PL Darts Night 13 preview and tips are below.

Night 12 Reflections

It was another wipeout for the bets last week. -3.50 points lost and the tally sits at a miserable -11.82. We head to Aberdeen tonight and I guess we can call this the guide for what not to back for the night ahead.

There are only four nights to go including this one, before we finally get to the play offs. The table is beginning to look like it is almost settled now.

Jonny Clayton and Luke Littler are confirmed as semi-finalists already. They are playing to see who can come top. In third place we have Gerwyn Price, a full ten points behind Littler in second place. Price is on 19 points and in fourth place is MVG on 18.

The out of form Gian van Veen is four points back on 14, one point ahead of Humphries on 13. Bunting and Rock really need to win two nights just to have a sniff of making the play offs.

Josh Rock vs. Luke Littler

Rock is not in good form, losing six of his last ten matches, and his run of four quarter final wins in the PL ended with a 3-6 loss to MVG last week. He played in the two Players Championships earlier this week and won just one match.

Littler has won seven of his last ten matches, all PL matches, and he is just focusing on finishing on top of the table. He won Night 12 last week, beating top of the table Jonny Clayton 6-1. Those two have contested the last two finals but are scheduled to meet in the semi-finals this week.

Their H2H record is 7-0 to Littler and he is 1.33 to make it 8-0. Given their respective form and the H2H record, he looks very likely to do so. But this is the PL, so Rock probably wins it 6-0.

They have actually only met once so far in the PL and that was a 6-4 win for Littler. Rock averaged 103.72 that night, Littler 96.20. There is room for a larger margin of victory for Littler tonight.

2026 PL Darts Night 13 Tip: 1 point Luke Littler to win -2.5 legs @ 2.00 with Betfair, Skybet
2026 PL Darts Night 13 Tip: 0.5 point Littler to win 6-2 @ 5.50 generally available

Stephen Bunting vs. Gerwyn Price

Bunting is not in good form, losing six of his last ten matches. There are occasional good performances, but six of his last ten matches have seen averages of 93 or under, and that won’t cut it at this level. His four wins have been against journeymen pros and he is struggling when up against the top players.

Gerwyn Price has gone off the boil in the PL. He has lost his last three quarter finals in a row but did win the European Darts Grand Prix eleven days ago, so his lack of form is relative.

Overall, he has won seven of his last ten matches. He still needs a few points to make sure of his place in the play-offs so he needs to keep his head down and this is a good chance to pick up two more.

H2H

Their H2H record is 16-9 to Price and in this year’s PL 2-0. Their last match was a humdinger. Price won 6-2 averaging 112.91, Bunting 106.66, with eight 180s. Bunting was poor on his doubles and that cost him dear. The difference between their two games has been the doubling.

In the PL Price has checked out at 46.49%, Bunting just 34.95%. Bunting was very good on the doubles in this week’s Players Championships, but still won just two matches. He just seems low on confidence.

Price is the 1.44 favourite, Bunting 2.90.

2026 PL Darts Night 13 Tip: 1 point over 5.5 180s @ 1.84 with Unibet
2026 PL Darts Night 13 Tip: 0.5 point Price to win 6-3 @ 5.50 generally available

Jonny Clayton vs. Gian van Veen

Clayton is relaxed and playing for fun now. His job is done. He is into the play offs and he is just playing to try and win the nightly bonus. He has made the last three finals and his overall form is seven wins from his last ten. Clayton beat Van Veen 6-5 in last week’s semi-final and in his last nine PL matches, seven have been over 9.5 legs.

Van Veen is in poor form and has lost seven of his last ten matches. He played in this week’s Players Championship matches and won just two matches and his two defeats both saw 87 averages. He has now lost seven of his last ten matches in the PL aswell, so it is not just a blip in his form.

Their H2H record is 5-3 to Clayton and he has won their last three matches. In the 2026 PL it is 3-1 to Clayton, three of which saw over 9.5 legs. Five of their seven matches have seen over 9.5 legs.

2026 PL Darts Night 13 Tip: 1 point over 9.5 legs @ 1.91 with Betfred, Boylesports
2026 PL Darts Night 13 Tip: 0.5 point Clayton to win 6-5 @ 7.00 with Betfred, Boylesports, Betvictor, Skybet

Luke Humphries vs. Michael van Gerwen

Luke Humphries must have the worst points scored, to matches won ratio in darts. He hasn’t averaged below 95 in his last 21 matches, hit 13 ton plus averages and still lost twelve. In the PL he has lost seven of his last ten matches and six of his last seven, despite averaging 99.71 across the seven.

It is, of course, all down to his doubling. His checkout rate in the PL is 36.16%, well below his 12-month checkout rate of 40.57%. If he misses one early on, he gets tight, if he misses two, he panics.

MVG is much more erratic when it comes to scoring and that is making him lose a lot of matches. He has lost five of his last ten matches overall, and in the PL it is also five from ten. He is consistently inconsistent.

Their H2H record is 18-18 and in 2026, 2-2. Their four matches in 2026 have all been one-sided affairs with scorelines of 6-2, 6-1, 7-2 and 6-3.

Luke Humphries is the 1.67 favourite and being backed, MVG is drifting and a 2.30 shot. Their H2H record says it is a coin toss and that suggests that there is some value in MVG’s odds, but his form is not convincing. Maybe we shall get another one-sided match?

2026 PL Darts Night 13 Tip: 1 point under 9.5 legs @ 1.88 with Unibet
