2026 WM Darts Final Preview & Tips
After two pretty one-sided semi finals, we could be in for a similar sort of outcome tonight. James Punt’s 2026 WM Darts Final preview and tips are below.
Luke Littler vs Gerwyn Price
Littler is the 1.13 favourite, Price 7.00. Enough said?
Gerwyn Price has won the race to come second, but we have to go through the formality of playing the final. Price is averaging 97.79 for the tournament, which is very good, but not in the same postcode as Littler’s 110.91. Littler is playing a different game to the rest.
Their H2H record is 20-8 to Littler and he has won fifteen of their last sixteen. Price’s solo win in that last sixteen was in the Bahrain Masters in January, shortly after Littler had won the World Championship and his brain was still on holiday. Half of Price’s wins over Littler have come in World Series events. Mickey Mouse exhibition events. Once big titles are up for grabs, Littler moves up several gears.
Gerwyn Price has hit 27 maximums so far, not bad, but someway short of Littler’s 54. Littler is hitting 180s at 0.67 per leg. Ridiculous.
Any Value?
Is there any value to be found? It is very hard when it comes to Littler’s matches, especially when he is in top form. Correct score? The biggest winning margin this century is 18-4. That was Phil Taylor beating Terry Jenkins.
One match has required extra time, and I don’t expect that to change. The most common scoreline is 18-12. That has happened in 19% of the 26 finals this century. 18-8, 18-9,18-10 and 18-13 have happened three times each.
One Sided
46% of the finals have seen under 28.5 legs and I am leaning towards this being another one sided final. So long as Littler can keep up his exceptional high level of form, I suspect that there is very little that Price can do about it.
Littler’s ‘worst’ performance so far was a 109.53 average in his first round match vs. Springer. We have to expect something close to 110. He could have an off day, but he has been very consistently playing at that level all week.
For 180s betting there is a pretty clear pattern. Across Littler’s four matches the match 180 rate has been 0.91 per leg. Littler’s and Price’s combined 180 per leg rate is 0.972 per leg. It really comes down to how many legs the match lasts. I am going low for total legs, so low on 180s.
