Andy Boulton vs. Ryan Meikle
Meikle is playing very consistently recently, his scoring generally in the mid 90’s and he has won seven of his last ten as a result. He has beaten Boulton twice in 2022 and while X-Factor is rarely a push over, I’ll take the Barber to repeat his first round win of last weekend.

Connor Scutt vs. Scott Waites
Scutt has won just two of his last ten matches and is up against the very experienced Scott Waites. Waites is hardly on fire, but he has won five of his last ten and beaten players like Wright, Ryan Joyce and De Sousa. He has won two of his three first round matches in Europe this year and his scoring is decent.

Simon Whitlock vs. Jamie Hughes
Whitlock is the favourite here, despite Hughes having a 4-0 H2H record over the Aussie. They last met just a couple of weeks ago and Yozza won 6-1. They met on the Euro Tour twice in 2019 and Hughes won both. Whitlock remains a dangerous opponent, but his consistency is lacking. He has lost five of his last ten matches, while Hughes has won seven and is playing the better of the two.

Dave Chisnall vs. Madars Razma
Both players have won seven of their last ten matches but have never met. Chizzy is the more successful player, arguably a little on the wane, with Razma more of a journeyman but improving in standard and experience. He has reached a players championship final in 2022
Chisnall has won all four of his opening euro tour matches in 2022, as has Razma. The Latvian is a slower, more deliberate player than Chisnall and it is a bit of a clash of styles. Razma doesn’t have the scoring power of Chizzy but he will get the most from his game and try and frustrate Chisnall.
